Busy beach, beautiful spot

Be sure to go to John's Pass nearby!! The beach was great but better parking and amenities would help make it a lot easier to use. Worth a visit though!

Madeira Beach is great. They sand is perfect and they have umbrellas, cabanas, and chairs for rent at a reasonable price. You'll have to pay for parking $1.50 per hour. It's a great family beach.

5 years in a row since we found Madeira Beach. It offers lots of food and entertainment options, close to Johns Pass, awesome sunsets - all without the craziness of other Spring Break beaches. A great place for couples seeking a quite, relaxing break from life's hectic pace! AHHHHH....

We did not stay on the beach and did not know which beach along the St Pete to Clearwater stretch to "pick". We drove the A1(?) road from Clearwater south, passing through Indian Shores, Redington, etc. and stopped at Madeira because there is also a boardwalk area called "John's Pass" adjacent to public parking and beach access which was nice... What a beautiful Beach. This is a busy area, but we found a few places with free parking and access to the beach.

The beach was clean and not crowded. Very nice. The sand was soft on our feet. There weren't any bars on the beach though, which would have been nice.

Just spent a full week in Tampa visiting family for Spring Break. We hit a total of 4 different beaches through out the week. We did Madeira Beach on our last full day and it was just my little family of three (2 Adults and 10 year old). We arrived at 10:30 and there was plenty of parking available at... More

We stayed at Barefoot Beach Hotel (see review if interested). We loved the area. We met so many friendly people, both locals and tourists. The beach was lovely...soft powdery sand. The water was a lil' cold for us (March), but we enjoyed walking the beach and we saw a few people braving the cold water. If you stay near St.... More

We didn't get to swim here but went walking and taking pictures along the beach. It was clean and very pretty. Will be coming back.
