You're basically climbing aboard a big pontoon with about 20 people and driving around the bay looking for a dolphin to surface- momentarily. You're seated on one side and if the Dolphins come up to breathe on the opposite side, you're SOL for viewing. The viewings are brief, random, and frustrating. Save your money unless you want to view the... More

Nice boat that was clean and comfortable. We saw lots of dolphins and Capt Greg was excellent at maneuvering the boat for the best view. Jerry on board was a font of information about the dolphins and the area. Have a great time.

My son is obsessed with dolphins. We took him on several dolphin cruises while in the area and this one was by far the favorite. Staff was friendly and extremely personable. Clearly they enjoy what they do! The price was very reasonable and the overall experience was very organized. I would suggest making a reservation ... they seem to sell... More

We booked a trip on the Dolphin quest and were very pleased with everything-we saw LOTS of dolphins in the Gulf and Capt. John and Jerry were excellent at moving the boat so we could get closeups -Wonderful guides and took us to view a bird sanctuary and other islands and etc. Worth every penny spent and it was very... My spouse and I live south of the Sarasota area, so we try to take a "staycation" by the beaches of St Pete, whenever we can. One of our favorite things to do, is the Johns Pass area, with all the shopping and dining and entertainment choices. Our must do is the Dolphin Quest. The day wasn't super warm, but... More

Not a bad outing. The guides/captain of the boat were entertaining and managed to find a couple of dolphins despite some weather that was less than cooperative. They also run a Pirate Adventure cruise which we originally wanted to go on TIP: BUY YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE!!! The pirate one was sold out for four days! Also, it was overcast... More

Beware to take your chances . VERY POOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. Our trip was cancelled due to weather conditions which is understandable however they were not accommodating in rescheduling. They said they were booked the next day then were not willing to book us the following two days even though there were openings because they "usually sell out " those days.... More

I sincerely apologize for the negative experience you had while visiting the Dolphin Quest. Unfortunately, the weather is beyond our control. In addition, the time you were trying to book a cruise was during a blackout period for Groupon vouchers, which is clearly stated on the Groupon. Please contact us to reschedule your cruise, I am confident you will enjoy... More

It may have been the luck of the draw, but we were amazed at the number of wild dolphins we saw on our Dolphin Quest cruise! We were only a few minutes into the Bay when we encountered our first pod of mothers and young dolphins, frolicking in the water and swimming up to and under the boat. A few... More
