Nothing wrong with John's Pass...it's basically tourist shops and restaurants. The parking is convenient.

Our group vacations in Madeira Beach every year, and we always stay in one of the condos directly across from John's Pass (Beach Place, Sandy Shores, Surf Song, Madeira Norte). No driving involved, everything is within walking distance. John's Pass has just about everything you need. Plenty of shopping, restaurants, bars...something for everyone. My only complaint would be that the... More

This is what I would call a small tourist trap with a good amount of decent restaurants. Parking is an issue and the is maybe 20 or so shops. Many similar or like what the entire area. It resembles a small fishing village but does offer a dozen or so good places to eat.

My husband and I stayed in St. Pete fl for 3 days. We decided to go check out Johns Pass. I came across it on Pinterest and it look nice. We are so glad we did. We took the free cab, which works on tips. We spent a couple of hours looking in the shops and then ate lunch on... More

Took friends here for the first time, they loved it. Had not been for years. Shops are good, but a lot are very similar. Boardwalk is great, great views, great ice cream. Never been here at night, would live to visit in the evening. You have to pay for parking nowadays , never used to have to. Sign of the... More

This place was good with a lot of different shops, water sports activities, restaurants, and bars. Overall the place is really neat to go and walk around.. We stopped in a cigar shop, alliagtor attraction, a place to eat, lids lockeroom and a bar. All of the places were really good and all of the people were really nice that... More

John's Pass is a great area to spend an afternoon shopping for FL and beach themed trinkets and souvenirs, then have some dinner overlooking John's pass. There are some nice shops here, if you are looking for some time away from the beach.

Excellent, fun place to go! This is a stop we made on our last trip in 2012 and one we had to go back for (and will again), The Boardwalk, shops and atmosphere are wonderful. Watch for the drawbridge to be raised and check out the wine making at Vino Florida.

Great food, great little beach area underneath the boardwalk, amazing dolphin tours and themed boat rides for kids, alcoholic beverages served to adults, and amazing souvenir shops for the whole family! Great day here!

My husband spend several hours walking along the Boardwalk and through the Village. There are a lot of shops, most touristy places but some very nice ones as well. There was a Brighton shop and a Tervis Tumbler store which we enjoyed. There are food options for just about any budget. There are benches in various places for those who... More
