I love this beach!

Shady picnic area, beautiful soft white sand and an amazing all-around view. This beach is simply one of my favorite places to go. Love it!

Not far north of Siesta Key, Sarasota - one of the top 10 Trip Advisor beaches in the world, is Coquina Beach. I thought it was the perfect beach and boating area. Great long and wide beach, a walking and jogging trail behind the beach under the shade of trees, plenty of leisure and BBQ areas and plenty of parking... More

This is one of the great beaches on the Key. I would go here if you have a family, are looking to have an outdoor meal, if you want to go swimming or explore the beaches. This is very family friendly and I highly recommend it as an option. If you go just over the bridge, you can make a... More

Coquina beach is a few miles away from Sarasota in Longboat Key where you can see dolphins swimming--if you are lucky --and have a leisurely afternoon--This beach reminds me of the Caribbean-very tranquil--Swimming near the bridge is not permitted but further up there are lifeguards and a concession stand --there is a good walking-jogging path that runs along the beach... Plenty of beach parking, nice clean restrooms, and soft white sand. All ages are welcome, so find that perfect spot and drop your beach gear.

Believe the reviews! We love our days at the beach and Coquina is our favorite SW Florida beach. Yes, we prefer it to Siesta Key. When you think there is nothing that could be done to improve this beach and its many amenities we discovered that this year a number of attractive individual change rooms had been constructed at strategic... Coquina Beach on Longboat Key is a dream! Wide beaches, ample free parking, easy access. This is truly a public beach- wide open spaces, many lifeguards, snack shack, bathrooms, outdoor showers to wash your feet- and it's free! Picnic areas with grills. Spend the day with your family. Beware that traffic can be a grind due to the lift bridge... More

The beach is fantastic during warm months and this winter we visited during the Sunday Farm Market. What a great way to spend a few hours. Walk and buy some farm fresh foods and baked goods. We even did some last minute holiday shopping. The beach itself is fantastic.

This is a great place to watch the sun set, with smaller crowds than you'll find in Siesta Key. Wide, open beach.
