This beach was a wonderful find for our family. There is a playground, shaded picnic areas, bathrooms (clean) and life guards. It was very easy to entertain the young and old in our group. The sand and swimming conditions are very similar to Bradenton Beach which is where we were staying. We liked the the large amount of sand between... More

We were staying in Siesta Key and went here for a day trip to see the surrounding area. Coquina Beach is about 45 minutes from Siesta Key. The beach is large, laid-back and has parking/restrooms. The water was perfect when we went - it was turquoise blue and very calm. Good place to fish and watch the boats pass by.

Good public beach off brandenton. Lots of sand, parking and fun. See people from all walks of life. Rich to poor alike. Get for people watching. Traffic can be troublesome early and late

It has plenty of parking, shaded pirate ship playground, covered picnic area. The beach is gorgeous! The sand is fine, like four. Pure white sand and lots of seashells. Did not find a perfect conch, but close.

The sand is white the waves are small and it makes a nice place to swim and let your kids play in the water. The area is very clean.

Wide, shady and picturesque. It was very uncrowded, plenty of easy parking and beautiful white sand. There is a local market on Sundays.

Wonderful uncrowded beach. No need for an umbrella since large pine trees shade you if you so choose to sit under them. Have never failed to see either dolphin or manatees. The concessions are good, the restrooms large and well maintained.

We went there on the Thanksgiving weekend. I would like to say that Longboat key is the nicest beach area in Florida. The white sand looks amazing in winter, and the water is so clear. Although, the water was too cold, but my kids, my wife and I had a very good time on the beach and kids play area.... More
