One of the most beautiful beaches around but very crowded most of the time except at extreme times of the day!! I guess it is just popular!! Try a more secluded beach access if you need more peace and quiet!

Bee-you-tee-full! Gorgeous beach. Minimal crowds. Fantastic Gulf. This place is heaven on earth. Hope it stays that way.

Perfect environment for the family. Clean, quiet, tranquil and safe for the children. Not to wavy or deep.

Coquina beach is the perfect beach to visit when you are looking for a beautiful clean beach to relax! The sand is white and there are a lot of pine trees that offer shade. There are dressingrooms, toilets and showers. The parking is free and there are some shops nearby.

I love going to this beach, plenty of parking, and you can take a nap, long walk, it's tends to be quieter, since there are not many houses and you either drive or take the bus, the sand is soft, and many shells can be found, also the dunes are nice. There are picnic areas, and bathrooms,, and snack bar,... More

Beautiful beach on the Gulf of Mexico with small waves, blue waters, white sand, pine trees for shade, shelters for picnics, bathroom facilities and free parking.

I loved this beach best on the island! Great swimming area, nice cafe/bar and excellent walking path. At the base of the area is a nice shady area for viewing the water between Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key. We saw dolphin and manatee swimming here. A shady park with lots of picnic tables and shelters runs next to the... More

What you need is there: nice soft sand, clear water, SHADE, restrooms, showers, picknicktables, even grills! And across the street a nice park to have a stroll. Really nice is that it was not crowded either. And free. And so on.

Parking was plentiful! The beach is not far. Beach was good, water was warm and not rough at all.Nice shady picnic areas where families were enjoying the day. There was an open market with local vendors. There are two restrooms for convenience. I was not staying in the area, but I suspect there is bus service available from other beach... More
