My husband and I and our three grade-school kiddos and new baby along with both of our parents enjoyed this beach more than the northern beaches on Anna marie. This beach had calmer waves and lots of shells for the kids to find. We took the free trolley to get here, but looks like there's plenty of parking and shaded... More

First time to Coquina Beach, really liked the shaded area with all the trees and more important the individual huts for changing. That's what Pier 60 Clearwater needs to build. Overall an excellent beach, free parking loved it!!

We seem to always return to this beach instead of others while visiting Sarasota. Free parking, lots of shade and picnic facilities. Went to the south end this time and had a blast!

Best beach for turquoise water, warm water, during off season you have the beach to yourself. The sunsets are amazing and so pretty, the colors are amazing.

You have to stop and enjoy Coquina Beach. The beach is beautiful. Siesta Key has nothing on Coquina. Less traffic and great parking! Enjoy!

White sugar sand beach with all facilities and safe parking. First day we relaxed in the water when suddenly 2 dolphins jumped out of the water just 5 feet from us. What an experience.

A bit crowded but a great way to get into the water without driving very far. Plenty of parking but best to get there early to make sure you get a spot.

The beach is wonderful. But it can get really packed on holidays...we went during the week and there were only a few people. Went back on a long weekend and it was nuts...

this beach is relaxing, no stress finding parking, clean and a lot of shade under the trees. We often meet a few friends and have a picnic and bbq. The bathrooms are in easy reach, and so is a small cafe.

Two playgrounds, one shaped like a pirate ship! The beach sand is white and powdery and kept very clean despite the crowds on the weekends. On Sundays there is a little farmers market with crafts and homemade foods and produce. Bathrooms available. Lifeguards on duty at certain hours. A little cafe with snacks available. Overall a very nice place.
