Very clean. Very expansive. And no charge to enter and park. You could fish, walk, swim. There was a farmer's market on Sunday and a flea market during the week.

I returned from Thanksgiving to this darling spot in March! Never crowded! Public beach with a great view and walk! Clean Public outside bathrooms. A wonderful Coguina outside cafe with drinks and dogs or burgers to grab for a quick meal and outside seating to view the ocean happenings. Saw dolphins each time! I had a Chicago dog with all...

We drove up from Longboat Key to Coquina Beach on a Sunday because we had seen a sign that said "Beach Market Sunday 10-4". Best time we had the whole week. This is a great beach. My wife and I walked along it for several miles. The piers are not good. You cannot walk on them. The flea market is awful.
A nice beach with lots of parking and picknic spots with shade. No cost to spend the day on a great strech of beach!
If you are looking for a great beach with life guards and easy parking, this is it! It is right on Anna Maria Island and is a very large beach area that can accomidate your large vehicles, campers, etc,

This beach is a little different than some of the other area beaches. But the kids had the best time snorkelling here. i have never seen them stay in the water so long.
A great Sunday afternoon was enjoyed biking along the trail on Longboat Key. Shops and restaurants along the way, also take time and enjoy the gulf view.
The town was renovating the parking lot after a hurricane, but all in all a nice shaded setting. Long beach to walk1
