Beautiful garden, educational placards, another place to learn and entertain grandkids

Even in 80-plus degree weather, we thoroughly enjoyed this botanical garden. The herb garden was fun, as we're foodies who like to use fresh herbs in cooking. This probably my 10th time going, I always love this place. It is well kept and beautiful no matter what time of year, Christmas especially. Possibly planning on having our wedding here. Recommend this to anyone

After reading the reviews we were looking forward to visiting the gardens, but we're not overly impressed. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the visitors centre was closed. We walked around the Heritage Village which is well set out, but closes at 4pm. We wandered through the gardens which were pleasant enough, but we felt we were missing something.... More

Wander through the gardens at a slow pace and enjoy some free family time. They even have a few spots to have a picnic. At christmas time the gardens are... More

This is a hidden gem in Largo. Some nice sprawling gardens, ponds. Plenty of places to sit and sketch or take photographs. Beautiful gardens with a large variety of trees, with nice paths connecting them all. I'm not a bird watcher, but there are certainly no shortage of beautiful birds flying around here with all the flowers and trees. Lots... More

Plenty of self-parking. Free admission and parking. Beautifully laid out gardens either side of a lake with labelled trees, shrubs, flowers, educational area and a herb garden. Lots of quiet walks. Free map. Restrooms in both university buildings. Next to museum of Florida heritage buildings (closed - out of season) which looked worth a visit and opposite an expansive state... More
