Wonderful experience walking the paths that are beautifully landscape in most cases in a natural setting. Staff is very friendly and helpful answering questions if you want to try to establish your own plants in Florida. Was really impressed with all the varieties of Palms. If you are in the area during Christmas Season, going at night to see the... More

Great when you've got visitors and it's more than just gardens. Outside the cooperative extension are tropical fruit gardens for ideas for home. And right around the corner is the heritage village.

One of my favorite things to do on a warm, sunny day is to pick up a sandwich from the Amish Country Store in Largo and eat it at the picnic tables at the Botanical Garden. You can park your car right behind the picnic area, enjoy a good lunch, and then walk the grounds for the rest of the... More

We have been to the Botanical Garedens several times throughout the year. Christmas is a magical time to visit as the entire grounds are lighted but anytime is a wonderful experience. Each time we go, different plants and trees are in bloom making every visit unique. The gardens are informative as well as beautiful as everything is labeled. Nice place... More

We visited at night during the Christmas season and it was beautiful. Planning a trip back to see it during the daytime. We had a really nice, relaxing visit!

Far from being just a lot of obscure plants with nametags, there are several distinct full gardens with interesting structures, bridges, rivers and plains. These effectively block out the adjacent hulking municipal building and the noise from the highway. Unfortunately, nothing can block the huge communications towers that dominate much of the skyline above the gardens. Look the other way... More

Went in early January and spent 1/2 hour watching a gator approach some turtles. Very relaxing visit. Plenty of places to picnic and good restroom facilities. Would have been fun with some children who were interested in learning. Would also be a good place to just have some peace and quiet. Not a whole lot of flowers in January.

If your looking to get out of the house and do something for FREE. This is a great place to go. The Botanical Garden is so beautiful. We had our engagement pictures taken here. I would highly recommend checking it out.

We go to the botanical gardens several times a year and it it always enjoyable. The holiday lights and events are wonderful. They ask for a donation which we always gladly give. It is a local treasure. We visit during the day and the blooms and plants are very beautiful. There is a wedding garden where they do ...weddings of... More

We were passing by and decided to stop and check out the plants and flowers. The place is free and is actually pretty big. We got lost as its kind of a maze. Our girls, 6 and 11 enjoyed taking photos. Worth a stop if in the area and have an hour or two to spare.
