Dropped in as I passed. Some unique items and very good staff. Not really worth a special trip IMO, but if you're in the area its worth a visit.

Visiting from up North and saw the sign from the interstate. We decided to stop in and we were glad we did! We learned so much about the history of Florida and its contribution to aviation. A great section on WW2 and how the local city helped with the war efforts. Really great to see a Sea Dart (rare) and... More

This place is very small and has a few exhibits. It is very run down and most of the interactive exhibits don’t work. There are quite a few exhibits on display outside. It is not worth the trip to go there and certainly not the cost of entry.

So how many 16 year olds do you know who can singlehandedly build a biplane from scratch in their yard without reference to an engineering manual, or the internet, or any help from an adult, then learn to fly it? Nope, me neither. This is what Matty Laird did in 1912 with his ‘Baby Biplane’. I stood looking at that... More

What a fascinating way to spend 2-3 hours with learning, hands-on experience, and seeing a wide variety of aircrafts from the early days to space travel. Be sure to give the ceiling attention, too. Walk the grounds to see those displays as well as visit the gift shop. A great family or group outing for people who have interest in... More

My husband & I spent a short while in the museum when we went to the Florida Autofest Lakeland. Wish we had had more time! It is a nice collection of aerospace objects -- propulsion, planes, memorabilia. We will definitely go back when we have more time to enjoy all the exhibits!

Was looking forward to the visit but the museum was closed despite the web site saying it was open - we weren't the only Brits caught out by this. Even though we did not get to go in the museum we wandered around the collection of interesting and unusual exhibits outside. Really good collection if you are an aviation buff... More

This locale is definitely worth the trip. Lots of nostalgia and hands on displays. Some replicas of famous movie stars of old who were pilots and the garb they wore. Lots to learn and enjoy, not to mention all the planes outside in separate hangars as well as the interesting museum store.

The girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Most of the displays were well labeled and I learned something from most everything there. There were some displays and activies that looked good for children. The museum was comfortable despite it being into the 90s outside. Some of the photos on the walls were amazing and there was...
