Here's a place where you can see a superior display of aircraft, engines and history. It holds many experimental aircraft and one-of-a-kind planes. Especially interesting are the Navy F2Y Sea Dart and the YF2Y-1 Hyperbipe. A really interesting and informative place to spend an afternoon. Call ahead for special programs and seasonal activities, and you can visit individually or call... More

A really absorbing (even to those like my wife not deeply interested in flying) and well presented local museum. Not stuffy or boring - good history of local airport development and aircraft over the years. Not expensive. Good any time or for a rainy day.

A very interesting collection of aircraft and power plants. The cut-away of the jet engines is very enlightening. There are hands on displays and flight simulators. Great for adults and children alike. Spent 3 hours and could have stayed longer!

I have taken my grandchildren there twice. The facility is made up of several buildings holding displays of aircraft and memorabilia. Besides the main exhibit hall are several hangars with vintage and present day aircraft. Many of the local owners are there and are happy to talk to you. We went by a restoration building and knocked on the door.... More

We attended this year's airshow and enjoyed our time there. Saw lots of things and enjoyed the friendliness of the workers. I just have a few suggestions for those who are organizing this event. With the weather being so hot for most of the days, the portable washrooms became unbearable to use. There needed to be wash stations at every... More

We visited the air museum while attending the annual Sun 'n Fun event. I was greatly surprised how the museum is also set up to entertain little ones. My sons, 7 and 8, enjoyed looking at the many different planes and really enjoyed the interactive set ups. It was hard getting them out of there.

As a pilot who has been flying for 50 years, I have visited a number of aviation museums both in the U.S. and abroad. This museum is rather eclectic in format and offers broad based exposure to the general history of aviation, the space program, in depth coverage of the development of general, commercial and military aviation in Florida and... We attended the Airshow at the Sun 'n Fun museum and thought it was spectacular! It is a 6 day show filled with excitement for all ages. Not only is the place filled with Aviators but you get to talk with them, experience the planes and jets up close. A great place to take children to inspire them to fly... More

The museum is well organized and cared for. With a focus on general aviation, the atmosphere is very comfortable and welcoming. While not a large facility, it offers some very unique displays both inside and outside.
