A mini Radio City Music Hall, full of architectural details from years past, an organ playing as you arrive, comfortable seating, reasonable ticket prices and snacks. It is very, very air-conditioned, particularly in front row seats. Balcony seats offer spectacular view. They offer classic and unique films, make it a priority on your visit to Lakeland!

It's like going back in time. Starting with the live organ music and then entering the theater with the vintage seats and finally ... the balcony! I'm so glad we finally tried this theater! It' s beautiful. Nostalgia lives at the Polk Theater.

I have been coming here since I was a young child...before the renovations. Currently restored to its perfection. This is a classic theater with painted sealing that looks like the sky...a façade of buildings and balconies. Elvis played this theater...it's a hidden gem here in Lakeland. You can catch a movie, play, concert and so on here. Two levels almost... More

The only remaining theatre from Lakeland's original five, this art deco renovation is managed by a non profit group. The theatre was a place were many of Lakeland's children saw their first Disney Classic. Lines would extend around the block as anxious parents and fidgeting children waited their turn to see the feature. Elvis Presely appeared once for a performance.... More

Great small theatre. Upon entering, it takes you back to the golden era of movies-double features, cartoons, etc. There's an organ there as well. Saw the play, Ernie and it was fantastic! Parking is a bit challenging but over all, it's a hidden gem!

Went here on a hot summer day to beat the heat. Nice and clean, typical high prices for snacks you expect to pay at these attractions.

This play was incredible. Had a meet and great before play began and then question and answer period after. Very memorable. The theatre itself is beautiful.

This historic theatre is still active with everything from live performances to art cinema. One can see local productions of plays, regional dance companies, and national touring plays and musicians. There are regularly scheduled screening of some of the best films both old and recent. The ambiance is charming, like being in an Italian piazza complete with stars twinkling in... More

If you are fortunate to be in town during its run, go see Ernie. It's a play based on the life of Ernie Harwell, the voice of the Detroit Tigers. It is an excellent play. You will laugh and you will cry. I can't recommend this play enough.

Beautiful historic theatre...must visit if given a chance...no seat is a poor seat. Saw many shows and music at this location. I believe it is funded through private donations so hope it continues to remain open...a gem for Lakeland!
