Not being a FL native, I am always amazed at the variety of plants flourishing in December. My son got a new camera for Christmas and what better place for him to try it out than Hois Gardens! Between the well tended beds of plants and flowers to the lovely fountains, Hollis Gardens is a budding photographer's dream.

Lakeland...(the city of swans)....Hollis Gardens is a must see stop. The gardens are beautiful and attached to the Frances Langford Promenade that encircles Lake Mirror. With the serenity of the gardens, the prominade and the modern playground...every age group is accommodated to near perfection.

Very well maintained garden. Great place for family, couples or pre-wedding photos. The back drop of Lake Mirror is a good thing as well.

It's a sunny, warm, president's day. I look up "things to do in Lakeland". My wife and I decided to drive from Kissimmee to check out Hollis garden. But the gardens are closed on Monday. Whaaaa. Probably my fault for not checking Hollis' website but on a sunny early spring federal holiday- c'mon.open up for the public. They did look... More

I really enjoyed walking around this park. Although it's small, it feels very private when you're walking on the paths. It has classic music playing, and overlooks a beautiful lake with a path along the rim. It would be a great place to take pictures.

A little piece of paradise in downtown Lakeland, a real gem. Its right on Lake Mirror where you can take a stroll around the lake.

Very few cities have parks that are actually gardens. This one is very well designed and formal, with geometric beds and fountains. It's very well maintained and in a nice lakeside setting. And it's even free! I'm a horticulturist and have seen hundreds of public gardens, and this is well worth a visit. It's small but well done.

I always make a point of stopping at Hollis Garden whenever I'm in Lakeland for business. It's a nice spot and the gardens are beautiful. Nice mix of fountains, sculptures and plants. Early in the mornings, before they're open, if you're brave you can jump the low concrete fence down by the lake and have the entire garden to yourself.... More

Let me start by saying it is January in Florida so don't expect a lot of flowers, this is winter after all and I'm sure the garden is more colourful in spring and summer. The setting on Mirror Lake is very beautiful with a stone walkway around the lake with lots of birds and ducks. It is incredibly beautiful and... More
