It was magnificent. We got to meet the carillon instrumentalist. Unfornately there was marked quiet zone to listen to the music being performed. We finally found an out of the way spot and heard the last two songs. It is a great spot for people to walk and enjoy a huge garden.

Hollis Gardens has a reputation for its landscaping and beauty for weddings and other events. Most all the kids go there for their Prom Pictures and during the day alot of photographers show up to do photo shoots. Its very tranquil here and the statues around the lake and center fountain adds to the beauty. Take the time for a... More

Exquisitely manicured garden overlooking lake mirror, a small koi pond for the kids to look and favorite place for pictures and leisure walk. Free to the public

A most wonderful experience, with flowers of all shapes, sizes and varieties. Especially wonderful are the rosebusher, extremely abundant. However, the park is closed on Mondays, which Unfortunately I found out the hard way recently. And outside is e county park with a large lake, with plentiful waterfowl, just waiting to pose for you.

Another place that I love to show out-of-town visitors... right in the heart of downtown Lakeland, overlooking lovely Lake Mirror. Enjoy a light and delicious lunch next door at the Garden Bistro to extend your time with the scenery!

We have been bringing our kids here since they were babies and they have always called it "The Secret Garden" because it's beautiful and immaculately cared for. They love the koi fountain, the carpet-like grass they can roll on, the hidden waterfall, and trying to identify the veggies being grown. It's a lovely place for weddings, prom photos, and family... Not a very big place, very quaint and peaceful. Lots of great photo opportunities and places to relax. Take a walk around the lake after for an extra treat.

In downtown Lakeland, there is a hidden gem of a place to visit -- Hollis Garden. There is an abundance of flowers, bushes of many kinds, unusual trees, and a great view of a lake right next to the garden. Just next to the garden are an amphitheater, theater for plays (usually performed by local college talent); and at times,... More
