Excellent, informative and inspiring. Frank Loyd Wright designed Dr Ludd Spivey's vision to build a truly American temple of education. Wright designed 18 buildings on the shore of Lake Hollingsworth. 13 remaining. The largest collection of Wright buildings - a chapel, classroom, library, planetarium and even a prarie style 2-bedroom home. Well worth a visit. Bill Stevens was a great,... More

We took the basic tour (there is an in depth tour also) which was very informative. The guide was enthusiastic which always makes a tour so much better. Having so much of his work in one place is a real bonus. 10 buildings including a chapel and usonian house. Well worth the time and money.

Lakeland is about 40 minutes from Tampa, a little further from Orlando. The campus of Florida Southern, and the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright looking out over the lake, are just amazing. There are 2 chapels--try to go inside both of them. It does not matter if you are a fan of his, or whether you even like architecture. This... More

This is a beautiful campus with so many buildings designed by legendary Frank Lloyd Wright. We paid for the Usonian House tour. This was built in 2012 from a 75 year old design. We watched the informational video, then toured other buildings on our own. The full guided tour is 2 hours if you wish to take it. The campus... More

I always knew Frank Lloyd Wright was a contributer to the design of Florida Southern University, but what I did not realize is he designed basically of it. This collection of his work, is THE largest in the entire United States. How fortunate to have this right here in our backyard! The campus is so pretty, and the history of... More

Took the self guided tour with the map, which was well worth the $5. Would have liked to take the 1 hour guided tour, but it wasn't for another couple of hours. There was a 2 1/2 tour, but way too long. You might want to call for your times beforehand. Even on our own, it was great to see... More

The tours available of the college as well as the home built based of a FLW design are well worth the trip. The home however not built in FLW lifetime show a great deal of modern architecture and use of colored glass not seen in his other pieces. The campus is also a must see for any architecture enthusiast.

Anyone in the area has to check this out. The campus itself is a piece of art. If the weather is good, one must walk around and explore the nooks and crannies of this place. Bring your camera and get ready to take some pics because this is the perfect background for pictures.

First of all, the tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright buildings at Florida Southern College leaves from the gift shop at 750 Frank Lloyd Wright Way so if you are lost, this is where you need to go to get tickets. And it is open even when the college is not in session so go on weekends or during the... More
