Visit the original Frank Lloyd Wright buildings and you will be amazed. Of course, I am an architect so I was impressed. You will be too. The chapel is especially interesting. My favorite is the small chapel. Go! Take the self guided tour or a scheduled tour. It's worth it.

We made a Saturday side trip to Lakeland specifically to see the FLW buildings, this after checking the website and reading that access to the buildings is not limited on weekends. Got to the campus and had a very difficult time finding the visitor's center. Once there (it's gorgeous and certainly worth seeing), we were sold a very poor $5... More

My sister and I are avid FLW followers so this site was a must see for us. It truly is a remarkable collection of FLW buildings...each on needs to be savoured. We took the extended "Behind the Scenes" tour, which is only offi offered 3 days a week, and highly recommend any serious FLW fans do the same. The guide... More

This collection of Frank Lloyd Wright's buildings is the largest in the world. All 13 of them were designed with a single purpose -- to create a college campus. Wright had a large, undeveloped piece of land on to work with, and his singular creative vision is displayed in a church, chapel. library, administration building, classrooms, science labs and a... It's worth taking the tour. Polk County residents get a discount. Nice gift shop. It's in the historic Lake Morton district and the college itself is on Lake Holingsworth, both lakes worth walking around any time of year. The library and Polk County Museum of Art is just down the street two blocks.

My first reaction to this visit was why should I visit this college. When I got to the campus I was in for an unexpected surprise. We had the opportunity to tour the world's largest collection of Frank Lloyd's Wright architecture to include the Wright designed Usonian house. The Florida Southern College Historic District was designated a National Historic Landmark... More

We took the tour of the campus with a tour guide and really liked it. Love the architecture. We visited the campus on our way to Bok Tower Gardens. We took the tour in 2014, so I forgot the cost but you can google it before you go.

Very interesting campus architecture to walk around and view. Visitor Center is nothing, though. A few souvenirs and a $7 five minute tour of a recently constructed Usonian model. If you are in Lakeland anyway and a big Wright fan ... otherwise, skip it.

the largest collection of Wright buildings in the world. Enough said. Be sure to see the chapels and the Usonian House and get there early since tours end at 4:30. You can see the buildings for free but the tours cost $$. They need the $$ to maintain these treasures so don't be afraid to pay.
