My great grandfather was a land speculator in the 30's in Lakeland. He made a generous donation to FSC and his name is etched in to one of the planters by the business office. My mother was an alumni at FSC having graduated in the 40's. As a child my grandparents lived close to the college, so when visiting them... More

The campus, along a lake front, is jaw dropping gorgeous, and then you begin to see the stunning architecture among the trees and tropical plantings. Wow doesn't do it! We first stopped at the admissions building for directions to the visitors' center. That building with a wall of glass facing the lake is almost sensory overload. A most pleasant person... More

We were amazed and dumbfounded this location of FLW's architecture had never come across our radar. The buildings are wonderful. The guides are indeed a wealth of information not just about the college buildings but of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture in general. It is certainly well worth a visit - and take the in depth guided tour so you actually... More

This man was a genius. His buildings at Floyd Southern are worth the visit. Chat with the people in the Visitors Center. They are a wealth of information. Walk around the lake when you've finished touring the college grounds. I wonderful way to spend the day. I will go back.

What an unexpected gem! Do go to the visitor's area on Frank Lloyd Wright street. Pay for the 30 minute tour that includes a 20 minute film and 10 minute tour of the Usonian home next door. It is fascinating.

This is the largest setting of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture in the country. A lovely college from which one of my daughters graduated. Worth touring the entire campus! Amazing buildings!

I used to live in Orlando and I have been to Florida Southern College a few times. This is where I was first introduced to Frank Lloyd Wright. Taking a guided tour was on my to-do list and now that I no longer live in Florida this to-do was a must when I came to Central Florida last week. I... More

The College understands what a treasure it has with twelve structures designed by FLW and to their credit is trying to restore them as much as possible to their original design. In addition, they have constructed in 2013 the Usonian House from his original plans and furnished it accordingly. We bought the $5 map and took the $7 package which... More
