All varieties of birds, armadillos, raccoons, alligators and opossums lots of places to picnic (away frm the gators!) but be prepared to walk and walk - quite a spread - dirt paths, rocky and uneven walk areas. Love this place but caution to young children- not a place to run around unsupervised-gators and snakes share your path. Saw some unusual... More

My husband and I ventured out here one day on our vacation. Beautiful walking paths. We saw all sorts of wildlife including 6 gators. It was awesome to see them in their own environment, not in a zoo or captivity. And the hiking was free and Easily one of the best things we did on our Florida Vacation

Went to Circle B Bar Reserve to try to see some gators in their natural habitat, and was not disappointed. Saw about 40 gators, along with a whole lot of other wildlife. Saw a giant turtle right by the path, along with a wild pig off in the distance. Beautiful walk.

The kids (OK, and the adults) love the discovery center. There's an abundance of easy trails and lots of places to picnic. Tons of wildlife. We've seen lots of baby animals there throughout the years (sandhill cranes, hogs, gators, bald eagles, etc.) They have a tram there sometimes. Also there's some geocaches out there if you're in to that.

We booked the tram tour and what an experience! The guides Nancy and Steve did a wonderful job educating us about the ecosystem, birds, reptiles, and history of the Circle B Bar Reserve. They took the time to explain many interesting points about the wildlife and did so with a great sense of humor. It was amazing to see gators and birds... More

Circle B Reserve had been in Lakeland forever under private ownership until it was bought and converted into a wonderful place for exploring and seeing Florida nature up close. The ancient, moss-draped Oaks along the entrance road are worth the trip alone. A nicely done, educational visitors' center is your first stop. Get a map for the several circular trails.... More

There are many trails on these preserve but I really liked the wading bird way because it looks so peaceful, so much so that it helps clear your mind and smile at the world. We also went through Alligator Alley and there was so much wildlife... We must have seen 10 alligators, including babies and juveniles. My recommendation is to... More

What a beautiful preserve. I had never been in all my years in Lakeland. I decided to take my daughter and we walked, talked and saw some gorgeous birds, great scenery, racoon family and armadillos.

Circle B Bar Reserve is a neat gem tucked away in the heart of Polk County. There are lots of trails to choose from, with plenty of miles to cover across numerous habitats. The best trails to hike are the ones that are adjacent to water - these will allow you to see the most wildlife. Alligator Alley is my... More

What a nice surprise it was when visiting this place. We had heard about the free tram ride through the park and headed out to take advantage of it. We didn't know that you needed to make reservations in advance but the lady at the desk said we could get on if there was room. The tour guide was very... More
