We hiked the 4.3 mile circle around the park. It was about half shaded, half not. Pure Florida beauty! Saw lots of native birds and babies and a few alligators - helped us keep up the pace of the walk! They also offered a shuttle tour, but we were there to walk. Good facilities and shaded parking.

We came into Lakeland on Labor Day to meet family for a picnic. This was our first time at the reserve. We were extremely impressed. The park was beautiful, the pavilions were clean and spacious. The nature trails were outstanding! We saw bald eagles, turtles and alligators. We had a wonderful day!

My family visited this weekend (7/20/14) and spent some time enjoying the trails. We saw Alligator, turtles, egg shells and too many bird to count. A wonderful place to relax and roam. A good alternative to the hustle and bustle of other area attractions and them parks. My children (under 12) had a great time. Be sure to check out... More

This is a beautiful place to visit early in the morning to see any variety of animals located in central Florida. Gator, all kinds of birds, and the occasional wild hog. You can walk, or ride your bike. It's so beautiful every time you visit, it's like your first time!! Truly a gem in Polk County!!

As soon as you enter the grounds you are surrounded by the biggest and most beautiful trees covered in Spanish Moss!!! You have to go before 4pm to use the indoor facilities. We followed a trail to the lake, hoping to see some Pelicans! We got to the jetty on the Lake and saw lots of Osprey diving into the... More

If you are driving between Tampa and Orlando or visa versa, this is a little gem, best thing Lakeland could do was preserve this park and admission is FREE! We chose the 2 mile nature trail, shaded with tons of live oak trees draped in hanging spanish moss. We visited on a breezy, sunny warm day in April and saw... More

This is my favorite preserve EVER and its FREE!! I have been to many national/state parks and never come close to the variety of wildlife, cleanliness, learning opportunities, viewing choices as I have with this place. There are nice picnic areas with grills, a learning center area with nice bathrooms, a series of fabulous trails through a variety of different... More

We thought we were in for a very boring afternoon to nature watch with our bird watching sister in -law.What an amazing surprise. We didn't know what to look at first.Alligator alley had alligators sunning themselves on the shore, and lots of them in the water. We saw broken eggs along the trail, and upon a closer look..there in the shallow water, were... Our reason for visiting Circle B Bar Reserve was to ride the bicycle path that connects to the Fort Frazier trail, but viewing the birds and fish quickly took over as the main objective. We did ride the connector and eventually down to Bartow, but the loops within the reserve was our favorite part. The crushed stone and shells kept... More

Original plan was to use this as a connector to a bike trail but the trails in the reserve were good to ride on...the birds flying around overhead were great to watch and saw lots of other wildlife, trails not crowded
