This state park is great , no sewer hookup ( for rvs) but the place makes up for it ! Nice bike & hiking trails ! We bring our boat & go in the lake . They do have kayak & canoe rentals ! The place is quite & beautiful , if you want to enjoy nature !

Always bring your bug repellent, and always make certain your pet has a flea and tick collar. We camp in a 27 foot travel trailer, along with 2 small dogs. While camping, our passions are hiking, biking, photography, and relaxing. Over the weekend of March 15th, 2014 we camped at Lake Kissimmee State Park. Beautiful weather matched a beautiful park.... This is a great place to visit. Plan to go on the weekend when the cowboys are there. They are great. The campground is very nice and the restrooms very good. The park is a great place to star gaze! The hiking trails are well kept and easy to hike.

We spent the day at the park - walked the nature trails - we brought a picnic lunch - plenty of picnic tables - see grills were available - store to purchase most convenient needs - boat ramp to launch your boat - plenty of camping / RV area's - they have Segway's you can rent - pretty neat. -... This is a great state park with plenty to do. We rode bikes all over the well marked trails and saw deer and turkeys. You can rent canoes and kayaks. The bath house in our loop was very clean. We were there on a Thursday and did not hear the airboat noise that some of the other reviewers commented about.... More

Camped at the youth and primitive campsites. Both were fine. The hiking trails were probably the best marked trails I have ever hiked in my life. The cowboy camp was interesting and worth a visit. My only complaints are the weather and the airboat noise, neither of which the park can control. This park is worth a visit.

Sites have heavy growth between them offering privacy. Word of caution, this is a very secluded place 10 miles off the highway that takes 20 minutes to traverse and 30 minutes from grocery. The lake is a Mecca for air boats on the weekend, and they operate well after dark so it can get noisy.

Took a RV rally here. Absolutely pleasant people to work with. CG can fit almost any size RV. Loop 2 better for larger RVs. Take the Segway tour, an absolute must.

Florida Parks doing some renovating here and it shows. Campsites are long, wide and private with growth between most sites. Lotsa' wildlife, Sand Hill Cranes, Vultures, Armadillos, deer and turkeys in our 3 day stay.

We camped here for our first wedding anniversary. Our campsite was very private which was perfect for our romantic weekend. I love campgrounds with privacy between sites and this one had that! Lots of trees, and an armadillo that would dig around us at night. The bathrooms were clean and had big showers with hot water. Even the trail to... More
