There is much to do...or not...at this wonderful State Park. It's one of my very favorite getaway spots. Great campsites. Cow camp. Kayak. Segway tours. Boat ramp. Hiking trails. Great place to spot Florida white tail deer, armadillo and other special creatures.

For $5 you can enter the park and have a wonderful of the area. The cypress trees were eerily haunting with their hanging vines that looked brittle but were actually soft to the touch. A nice little drive before we went to Alligator Cove for our Airboat trip.

Good and quietly place. There are not many things to do in this state park, but for $ 5.00 dollars per vehicle you can enjoy a good picnic with family or friends . There are facilities for camping, fishing, boating and equestrian trails. Very interesting Cow Camp. Excellent opportunity for wildlife photos: deer, sand cranes, armadillos, ospreys and beautiful butterflies.... More

It is a very nice clean park and the scenery is beautiful. I was a little disappointed that you could not get to the lake unless you were in a boat and could drive out the canal. The only way to see the lake is from the observation tower which is very nice and gives you great views. Of the... More

It was a very well maintained park. Lots of things to do. Kayaking, hiking, biking trails. The campgrounds were very nice.

A bit out of the way but worth the effort. Electric and water at each site. Sites are large and deep and nicely separated from each other. Very quiet at night except for the occasional airboat coming up the canal from the lake. We saw Eagles, deer, turkey, armadillos, sand cranes, and squirrels all in or near our campsite. Convenient... We stayed in the park in our RV. It was awesome. We saw several wild animals in different locations. Deer, great white heron, turkeys and others.

Nice covered pavillon where we had a picnic. Nice and clean. Good parking. Nice and enjoyed our stroll. Overlook was cool. Could see the whole lake.

What a beautiful place. We went just before Christmas, no one was there. The Spanish Moss hanging from the trees reminded me of the Avatar movie. The kids said they felt like they were in a dinosaur movie. This is where we did our first Geocache.
