Peaceful, lovely, informative, great gift shop and café. You can feel alone even when parking lot is crowded. Be sure to visit Pinewood, the beautiful house also in the gardens at Christmas. Decorations are worth price of admission!

After driving and flying off and on for over two weeks it was incredibly relaxing to visit Bok and unwind in the beautiful gardens with only the music from the bells to break the silence. We fed the fish by the tower and then visited the restaurant to feed ourselves from a reasonably priced menu. If you want to get... More

Gardens, walking trails through extensive property, museum, gift/bookstore, casual dining, picnicking all top rate. Plan to spend a peaceful, enjoyable day and take home a plant from the small garden center as I did. A book on Mr Bok , from the bookstore , I found to be a great read. Check their web site out for special events, like... More

This is not a superb botanical garden, but it's a great place for a stroll. Don't miss the view. Bring a picnic if you'd lie It's a home with a beautiful garden, a big impressive carillon tower, and a nice new visitor's center that tells the very interesting story of how Bok Tower came to exist. Fun history. I think... More

I had never heard of this place before. We were visiting for a couple of days with my sister-in-law. She and her husband wanted to take us to what they referred to as the highest point in Florida. What we found was a total surprise. The magnificent tower can be seen from miles away. It is made of marble and... More

These gorgeous grounds were designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, Jr., who worked with his dad (designer of NY's Central Park) on Biltmore Estate, among other major projects. FLO Jr. also was responsible for creating the National Park Service. He did an amazing job of turning this sand ridge in central Florida into a pastoral vision. $12 gets you admission to... More

This is one of the best designed, best executed gardens I've ever seen. Everywhere you turn is harmony with nature. The bell tower and the old residence feel like they are elements of the design rather than the centerpieces. I highy recommend this place.
