We saw the Bok Tower and Gardens in a tourist pamphlet in Orlando, and decided to strike out from Orlando to make a visit. It was about a one-hour drive south of the theme parks. Who would have expected a tall beautiful chime tower out in the middle of rural Florida, in the midst of orange groves, built by the... More

We decided to visit this place in search of something different from the ordinary. We were not disappointed. We had originally intended to visit Harry P Leu Gardens in Orlanded but opted for this after doing some research. The location is about an hour and a quarter from our hotel on International Drive, Orlando, near to Haines City. The gardens... More

If you need a break from theme parks and want a little tranquility try here. A great film to set the scene before you start, a stroll round the gardens and tower and a tour of the house. Really friendly staff, lovely cafe and a great antidote to the hustle and bustle. A bit out of the way but easy... More

This is "old Florida" as I remember it and loved it then and now....thanks for keeping this old mystical treasure alive.

After going backwards up Spook hill we visited Bok Gardens, on top of Iron Hill, Lake Wales, Florida. It was a total surprise hidden South of Haines City. Very relaxing with wildlife all around, birds and flowers. We even spotted a tortoise as it darted across the "Pine walk" path. The gardens a disabled friendly and will hire out a... More

I have to say, it is seldom that I am pleasantly surprised. My husband has been wanting to check this place out for awhile, but as it is 2hours from home (Clearwater area), I had been hesitant. After a brief stop in Lakeland at the Air Museum, we decided to check out Bok Gardens. The tower itself is unbelievable! And... More

Although the tower and garden is not close the most convenient it is worth the effort. First of all, there are hills, and tranquility. In addition, the gardens are breathless. If you enough nature and trails, there isn't a better place in the state! Also, I can't under emphasize how drastic the gothic style bell tower appears in the botanical... More

One of the highest areas in Florida, 298 ft. above sea level. Bok Tower, known as the "Singing Tower" is another 205 ft. It has a shining brass door and 60 bell carillon (which is the center piece) of the 75 acre gardens. The woodlands are pine, palms, oaks with moss, ferns; and 150 varieties of azaleas, camellias, and magnolias... More

A great place to amble among ornamental plants, flowers, and trees. Periodically you hear the tower bells which adds a peaceful feeling to the surroundings. Visitor center gives the history of Edward Bok's contribution. Attractive gift shop and great little restaurant for sandwiches, salad, and ice cream.

This was a great place for a family trip. The price is only $12/person for general admission which is very much worth every penny of it. We went on a HOT 90 degree Day but it was still not as bad in the shade. The tower is beautiful and the melodies are just so relaxing. Try to take a walk... More
