We have just returned from horse riding in Disney's Fort Wilderness. Two of us rode, my 13 year old daughter and myself. The horses (Chito and Mr Cooper) were gorgeous, very placid and clearly knew what to do and where to go, however the two female employees were less than pleasant. The young woman leading the trail (Cally) was somewhat... More

Where this park doesn't have a ton of rides, it was more like going to your local zoo. The ride through the wilderness by vehicle was great and we saw lots of animals. The bird show was great, it was a great day to relax in between going to the parks in the area.

If you have the time and patience to discover and explore the wonders of nature....check this place out. You'll have to trek through the forest and there's no telling what you might see, but take plenty of water, wear comfortable shoes/sneakers/boots. If you have a compass on your phone it might come in handy as the trails get intertwined and... More

It was a fun show with great food. We went for my niece's birthday, and they took her on stage, for part of the show.

I visited this Preserve for the first time today! It was >90 degrees so there were no animals to be seen, proving once again that mankind is not all that bright! Walking along the trail I was impressed by the peace and quiet and the wide open spaces with tropical foliage. There are no lines or T-shirt vendors here! I... More

Awesome place to get away from the crowd. I think I saw two other groups and no lines. Such a nice area and you completely surrounded by trees and shrubs. We even saw a woodpecker. The walk doesn't take long, about an hour. Really liked it.

We did a quick stop and enjoyed peacefulness that a preserve can provide. Our children loved it. However, those that go out of their way to state that its free and doesn't sell anything - no one is forcing you to buy anything, so why make the comment? Spend it or don't, but whining about it makes one look...well, you... More

This was a very pleasant day in the middle of an amusement park mecca costing hundreds of dollars a day. Admission is free. There are no T-shirts for sale (actually, there's NOTHING FOR SALE), although you can contribute to the Nature Conservancy if you want to. Absolutely no requests for donations, though. I think I did se a coke machine.... More

It was so nice to listen to the birds and the wind in the trees. We did the short walk with a stop at Russell Lake. The walk is easy to follow and relaxing. The facility is clean and the lady working there was very pleasant and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and the whole property was spotless. If you... More
