This nature preserve is a great place to hike around the flora and fauna that existed before the crush of humanity and development. It also has an exhibit of the Florida cattle industry that has been here for many generations. Do you want to sit by a serene lake and relax after a nice walk? Check it out.

It's confusing to find since it's listed as The Nature Conservancy even on signs going toward it. And it's listed as being in Poinciana. Anyway, it's a beautiful place to enjoy peace & quiet & nature. Even if you're not up for walking the trails, enjoy a picnic & sit in rockers & watch the pond. How can you beat... More

A little pricy, but extremely clean and the restaurant was fantastic. Saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the experience. Also animal friendly.

An amazingly peaceful retreat, away from all the madness of the theme parks. Lots of little trails through the forest parts mingled with lakes and other watery areas. Chance to spot many varieties of wildlife. Very serene and lovely.

I was thrilled to find out that the Nature Conservancy had encouraged the Disney Corporation to donate money to buy a good piece of forest and wetland in central Florida, formerly a cattle ranch. A large ecological restoration effort has worked, wonderfully. I went to observe and learn about the area. I was very pleased when I found a bird... More

Had higher expectations, unfortunately only the views of lake Russell are of interest and beauty. The rest of the 6+ mile hike is in the open with absolutely no wildlife. And no real scenery to enjoy. They should have taken the trail around the lake which would have been just wonderful. Trust me when i say other who have posted... More

This is a free attraction of easy hiking and animal watching. The land is a preserve of natural Florida terrain that the Disney Corporation and the State of Florida maintain jointly. When you arrive into the parking area you are directed to a sign in welcome center where you'll receive a trail map and any information you need to walk... More

Wonderful park but it was far too hot for us a and the animals. They were all asleep in the shade and hidden from view. The mists cooler us off but we were disappointed at seeing so little wildlife.

Nobody does it like Disney. We had friends here and they had a great time. There was a lot of people but they have the people to handle it. The food and the atmosphere is great.

Let me start by saying I love to hike and I love to take nature photos. This was a major disappointment. We have county parks in Clearwater, FL that are nicer. This wilderness preserve was scrub land. There really was nothing to see. No animals, no birds. Nothing. It was totally flat, open field with almost no trees and knee... More
