I very much enjoyed the park seeing the animals in spacious natural areas was great. The shows were fun. There are many wonderful places to eat at a fair price. We will be going back soon

Nice exhibits and beautiful trails to hike for viewing nature. This is truly "Old Florida". If you have a group, contact them a head of time for a motorized tour of the preserve with very knowledgeable volunteers.

12000 acres 45 minutes south of Disney that allows you to catch some peace, quiet, and experience central Florida naturally. The trails total over 6 miles but you can walk or hike any duration. The terrain is flat, and mostly out in the open. You may see eagles and other birds such as egrets and herons among the marshes and... More

We went here on a rainy day for a walk with the kids, it was very nice and we got some great photos next to a lake. It's nice to see what central Florida actually looks like, with all the manicured landscapes of the resorts and theme parks, you wouldn't suspect it was so different.

Loved coming out for the day and walking around. Nice trails and great access to the head of the Everglades. Would recommend a handful of sandwiches if you're coming to picnic :) Plus geocaching!

My husband and I hiked for 3 hours in the preserve and never saw another person. The trails are well maintained and flat so easy way to spend a day of peace and calm in central Florida away from the crowds.

A great place to walk and enjoy natural Florida. Be sure to bring insect repellent, water and good walking shoes. This area is a nature trail not a boardwalk. Go early to spot wildlife.

Few people are aware of Disney's involvement in supporting wildlife and this State park. There are no horse rides or boat tours but there are various easy walks of differing distances. Entrance is free and the park ranger/guide at reception is most courteous and helpful. There is a fair selection of bird life including ospreys, buzzards and turkey vultures and also... More

Hi this made a fascinating alternative to the theme parks. No thrills, but thoroughly interesting. Great for adults and kids of all ages, and very cheap.
