The best part about Pigeon Island is the bridge getting out to it. You'll see all kinds of wildlife if you keep your eyes open - stingrays, shark, turtle, tarpon, starfish.

I just wrote a review for Pigeon Key Preservation, don't know if they are one and the same or not. Just wanted to say that it is well worth the time to visit. Filled with history, and the views are great. The volunteer (Jody) gave a great tour filled with stuff I had never heard.

We rented bikes in town and rode out to Pigeon Key and back. We kept getting passed by walkers because we stopped to look at the tarpon, rays, and yellowtail in the shallows. On a calm day like we had, you can see many creatures in the shallows from the bridge. It was a nice way to get some exercise...

Nice reprieve to another time. Take ferry boat out to island for $12.00 including island admission fee. Need tip for guide and boat people also would like a tip if you desire.

On Knight Key, you'll find the Pigeon Key visitor center where you pay your admission and wait for the ferry over to Pigeon Key.
