This place is a wonderful part of Keys history. Clean, informative with exceptional guides; a tour gives you real up close and personal insight into the rescue and rehabilitation of the extrodinary sea turtles. Great choice for all ages, young and old.

This was one of the highlights of our trip. We learned so much about sea turtle and this great organization that does so much for them. Visiting and feeding the turtles was a wonderful experience. Recommend visiting

The turtle hospital take in rescued and injured animals from all over the state and attempt to nurse them back to health. They provide a good educational tour and show how to identify the various types of sea turtle. The center is a converted motel and in the former swimming pool are the turtles which are unable to be released,... More

A very interesting, not too long, informative talk and demonstration with a tour of the operating rooms. Of course, the best part is always seeing the resident turtles and hearing of their progress.

We reserved our tour over one month in advance and were glad we did so. Our hotel was only two blocks away and the lot always seemed to be full. The tour was a nice mix of sit down / lecture and seeing the turtles as they are being rehabilitated. It was also a much needed break from the surf... More

On our drive from Islamorada to Key West we were reading about things to do along the way and since this had rave reviews we decided we had to stop. This was a very educational experience that made you think twice about how turtles can be hurt in the ocean and how people like the ones at the turtle rescue... More

Make sure you make reservations - gets booked up fast. Also plan to be there for the full 90 minutes. But, worth the scheduling. You get to see the sea turtle operating room, learn a ton about turtles, see turtles of various species up close, and also learn how they care for turtles. This is an experience you can't have... We were looking for something local to do during our trip to Marathon and decided to check out the Turtle Hospital. We went on the 1.5-2 hour tour of the facility and, I have to say, it was WELL WORTH the money. It was interesting and informative without being preachy and it never got to the point where it was...
