You get a 90min tour that includes an education session on turtles, their habitat, and the things that are harming them. Makes you think about what is happening to us too from trash and pollution. Then you see the hospital patients. We saw many green sea turtles and some loggerheads.

Adults and children will be smitten with the turtles here. Well worth the money, especially since you know what you paid will allow for the turtle hospital to continue its incredible work. Be prepared to spend 1 1/2 - 2 hours and make sure you call ahead for reservations. You will not be disappointed!

This private nonprofit offers tours of their facility, which treats and releases (or sometimes cares permanently for) sea turtles whose injuries most often are related to human activity. The tour took about 60-90 minutes, and we were able to see many recuperating turtles while learning a little about their life cycles, environmental challenges, and the history of the facility.

My husband and I visited with our ten year old daughter and we all enjoyed learning about the turtles! We were able to make a reservation that morning for later in the afternoon. We toured the facility and got up close looks at the turtles - no touching though. We are glad to see the turtles getting help and rehabilitation... More

Our second visit to the turtle hospital as we brought some friends with us this time. Its very educational if you take your time to read the information in the office on the different types of turtles. Pollution is a major thyme of the tour as turtles will eat anything floating in the ocean and they show you the effects.... More

Our 16 year old daughter wanted to visit here. I wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Make sure you call to make reservations first. Very educational and interesting. Kudos to those that run and provide this much needed service for turtles. They brought in a hatchling while we were there. So cute! Highly recommend a visit here.

While I am not a big fan of turtles, this tour was interesting and a productive way to spend some time out of the water while in the Keys. Our 7 and 10 year old grandchildren who were traveling with us weren't sure they wanted to go but ended up having a good time. If you have a special interest... More

Firstly don't expect to turn up and tour, your tour has to be pre-booked. Our guide was Sean, who was good at getting the message of the hospital across and happy to answer questions. We started with a video presentation with exhibits passed round to enhance understanding. We then saw operating rooms and had various procedures explained. After that it... More

I really enjoyed going to the Turtle Hospital. The kids and I learned a lot. I am thankful for what the do to save the turtles. If you love turtles and want to help save them, this is the place to visit and learn more.
