This bridge is really special as you can see a lot of the old Flagler train bridge that will soon be taken down. Pigeon Key is accessible only by a portion of the old bridge, right off of the Seven mile bridge. It is a lovely ride and the longest bridge in the Keys.

Parking space on the west side is limited. On the east there is more space next to a nice bar/restaurant.

Always love driving over this bridge. Don't swim down below as there are cross currents which could (and have) sweep you out in the Atlantic very quick

We opted to ride our bikes the 2.5 miles out from Marathon to Pigeon Key on the OLD Seven Mile Bridge. Most were walking. It is a pleasant bike ride. Be sure to stop along the way to look down in the water. We saw lots of rays. At Pigeon Key you can pay an entrance fee and stroll about... More

One can only drive over it, walking or biking are not advised (after all ir really is 7 miles long). This is a bucket list item. You just have to do it. Make sure it is a clear day and you do the trip and in daylight!

The walk across the bridge wasn't as great as I thought it would be, on account that the bridge isn't in the best of shape. They are trying to do some fundraising in an attempt to pay for improvements.

Going to the Keys for the first time is exciting and going over the bridge was a neat adventure. The views from the bridge and everywhere along the trip to the Keys can't be beat -- Ocean on one side, Gulf on the other. You get to see all the quirky towns along the way and maybe find some new... We walked and biked the Old bridge to Pigeon Key. Always see sharks, eagle rays and other wildlife. Sunset views are awesome. Pigeon Key is nice if you are into the history of the Florida Keys. Would highly recommend for exercise and being out on the water. Water on a sunny day is blue, green and beautiful.

We always bike a few times to the bridge from Key Colony Beach, and if you have bikes it is a good endpoint. You can bike or walk out to Pigeon Key (a great visit option) and walk under US 1 at the bridge. Traveling the bridge offers options to view fish and sometimes rays in the shallows. The bridge... We travelled the bridge several times during our stay in Key West as we were fishing 3 different days in Marathon. If the weather was clear and the water calm, it is really a picturesque drive. You can see dolphin jumping, sharks swimming and just a lot of other pretty scenery.
