Lots of fun and the boat captain and crew were helpful. We saw lots of fish and enjoyed the trip very much ... especially at the price of $25 each. The only thing I wondered about was how they just gathered up the snorkels and masks and I didn't see any sterilizing solution on the boat. So were those who... More

Took discover dive with Kathleen. Great teacher. The 2 dive trip in the afternoon was wonderful. Great dive and superb reef experience. Efficient and knowledgable staff. Agree with one reviewer that the dive was a bit shallow making bouyancy a problem (added more weigts) but at 20 feet the colors of the reef and the fish are spectacular!

My family and I rented a boat from Captain Hook's for a day. We had a lot fun on the water fishing. We caught a shark, lizardfish and many others. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. We will rent from them again.

This was my first time with this dive operation, and they've earned my business. The people in the shop were very friendly and efficient. We went out on the Reef Hopper with Captain Mike, who is the best of the best. He's informative, fun, helpful, polite, and safe. His mate Beth was accommodating and kind. Denise, the instrcut or and... More

f you are a tourist and snorkeling you may like Captain Hooks, but if you are a scuba diver, maybe not so much. We found ourselves on a boat with a LOT of snorkelers, probably from out of state, and were taken to very shallow water, i.e. after getting into the water and going to the bottom, in next establishing... We had a very good experience with renting a 23ft Mako for a week. Knowledgeable and kind staff. Boat was "worn" but worked very well. No problems.

Ran the boat from flamingo to marathon with no problems, stopped bought 100 gallons of fuel at captain hooks and within 45 minutes the engines shut down from water in the gas. Went back to captain hooks and they just shrugged it off - no help and denial. Heard from others that it is not the place to fuel up and... More

Every now and then you get an unfair review from a customer on TripAdvisor and there really isn't much you can do except respond and hope that your other customers see the facts as presented. During the week of this complaint, we pumped over 9000 gallons of fuel and not one other complaint. We get our fuel from a reputable... More

Today i did two easy dives with Captain Hook' s. Everything was well organised. Visibility at Samanthas reef and Hermans Hole were not as good as I expexted to be. May be due to weather circumstances. Denise the guide did her best to show us interesting animals. For a PADI Master Instructor she is still enthusiastic in guiding divers. Thats... More

Summary: unless the weather and water is calm, don't go. Its November and our first trip to the keys. Was a nice day so we thought we'd go snorkeling off the reef. Heard great things about it. The boat was nice, staff was knowledgeable and great, equipment was good too. Problem was they never should have taken out the boat... More
