Tour guide Dave is a friendly, entertaining fellow who, in the almost 3 hour eco-tour, shared his knowledge of the mangrove trees in the forest through which we kayaked/wandered. That said, how much did we really want to know about the mangrove...an hour's education about it may have been enough. We were disappointed by not getting to also experience the... more

Followed the advice of the wonderful Marathon TA experts and took the3-hour mangrove kayak tour last Friday with Dave. The weather was absolutely perfect and we loved every minute of it...no way we could have found our way through themaze of mangrove forests so having a fun and informative guide like Dave was a must. Cannot wait to go back... more

Just got back from a week in Key Colony Beach and the highlights had to be: #1 the sun (remember I'm from Ohio, home of freezing rain and pewter skies); #2 great seafood; and #3 kayaking in the mangroves with Dave. Of course, #3 also involved #1, so maybe it should move up to #2 on my list. Highly recommend... more

One of the prettiest beaches in the Keys - White sand, great swimming, beautiful water. Rent a kayak from Marathon Kayak. They will deliver the kayak (s)to the beach and pick it up when you are done. Lots of beautiful kayaking - explore the mangroves, venture out to the nearby islands. Fun and safe for beginners, families. more
