This was attempt #2 when back in July, we went it was packed during Independence Weekend. Parking limited. We drove early now w/ our dogs, the beach has these small closed in bays, so that's nice but sand is muddy, water is not crystal clear blue, it was smelly, dirty, and because there is lots of the sea weed grass... Stopped at this beach and spent an hour or so. It's a beautiful location and there are several shallow sections that allow you to walk a long ways out in the water. It's also a fun place to watch windsurfers, too. There are also bathrooms and an outside shower to rinse off.

Small pocket of beach access with clear water that can be full of sea weed. Shallow enough for little kids to wade in. Parking is an issue. There are a couple of accesses you can check out to park at.

Stopped on the drive south while key hopping. We parked across the street and walked over. Just a pretty untouched sandy beach with clear water....going back tomorrow!

Little beach that's worth a stop. White sand. Clear water. But too little and no parking! For additional parking, you can park on the west side across from the south end of the beach near the bridge and fishing bridges and walk across. Some smells might bug you too...The path is cool though.

We stopped on our way back to Miami. Wonderful views! There are bathrooms and places with tables where you can eat a picnic and then take a swim .

Use to bring my kids here all the time when they were smaller. WHen the tide is out, you can walk way out away from the beach and discover all sorts of sea life. There are pavillions overlooking the water but where you cannot see your neighboring pavillion because of the trees. Great place to relax and get your feet... More

The Keys are not exactly well known for having great beaches, but advertising this as one of the best is a bit of an exaggeration. Having had many visits to Coco Beach, Daytona Beach, and everyday visits to the gulf in St. Petersburg / Sarasota area I guess I just expected more. The place does have showers which is nice,... Okay, Keys not known for beaches. Gotta remember that! Fishing, diving, snorkeling and water sports are excellent, just not swimming. Beach was full of trash, smelly and coming from beautiful gulf beaches around Sarasota, this was so bad! Literally mud beach. Pretty water though. Will not go back but they don't need us. Packed full of daytripprrs from Miami.
