We anchor here and enjoy great fun and food at Happy Hour at The Oceanview Bar & Inn. The only problem, one I could not believe, is there is a guy who owns a shack and I mean shack, next to the OV who does not like boats in the anchorage. So, for FIVE years (we were told) he has... More

Worth stopping by. Half way down the Keys, great place to stop and see the water, creeks, etc. Worth going to the geology trail too.

Me and my wife were looking for a good place to hike and were told about this place by the hotel manager. This is perfect for a day hike for beginners if you want to see the different local trees and want a nice easy hike.

A friend and I hiked here one day together. It was wonderful to see all of the different tree varieties. Grab a tree book before hand and enjoy identifying them too. Love the history attached to the park too. Great opportunity to learn some Keys history

Our family enjoys biking and exploring nature here. It is a less populated part of the keys, with most of the development on the East side.

Since my wife is a geologist, we had to stop at the Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park. The history associated with the quarry is very interesting, as the limestone from the quarry was used to construct the Flaggler Railroad to Key West. It also illustrated how the Florida Keys were formed. The park ranger was both knowledgeable and... More

This small underutilized state park is the perfect place for a picnic and nature walk. You can walk into the old coral quarry and look for fossils, or visit the tiny museum,or walk the labeled paths. Great place for kids to run. The small entry fee is worth it if you plan to stay for an hour or two.

This is a geological park. It has a small museum about mining of the coral and beautiful nature walks through the hammocks. You can even bring the dogs here for a walk!
