Wow...wish mainland parks were all like this

A very clean and up-to-date park. Boating launch as well. Very safe here too. Good place to meet some locals.

If you are staying in Islamorada at a hotel you can get in for free just by showing your key. Friendly fella at the gate too. You can also use the super duper olympic size pool for just 3$ adult, 2$ kid. This pool was amazing! Just perfect place with actual nice lifeguards. The beach is fun for kids snorkeling... More

Not sure what to make of the place. Very expensive entry fee for visitors. (Locals pay for it with their taxes. There are ballfields and a monster pool (added charge). There is also a small lagoon. Numerous events are held here during season. A marina is at the back of the property. Gas but nothing else.

We were lucky enough to receive free passes from our hotel (Drop Anchor Resort) and we visited Founders Park twice. Played basketball and baseball and were allowed the use of the equipment for free with the pass. The outdoor swimming pool looked beautiful and the park is very well kept and clean. Would definitely visit again if back in Islamorada!

Use of the park and tennis courts is free if you are staying in Islamorada, and the 50m swimming pool is only $ 3 each. Great value.

Islamorada isn't known for its beaches. The ones at the hotels are generally rocky and not too great. If you are staying at an Islamorada hotel and bring your room key (or car pass), they'll let you into Founder's Park for free. It's a lovely beach. It's small, but clean. It also wasn't too crowded. The water is shallow and... More

Baseball field, soccer field, basketball court, giant dog park, beach, Olympic pool, amphitheater, boat launch, yacht basin...This had been our vacation home (a boat) for three years. So enjoyable!

We came here during Islamorada's annual Island Fest. Great time! Car show, music, food, local vendors. They had sand castle building on the beach, sand art, and games going on. The area was pretty and clean.

We visited Founders Park during spring break. In addition to a beach, the Islamorada city pool is on the property. Our kids enjoyed the splash pad & diving boards. Since the local kids were in school, we had the place to our selves! It was very clean and well maintained. Bring some sand toys if you plan on spending a... More
