My wife and I visited Founders Park Beach at the recommendation of the owner of our hotel Drop Anchor Resort, Steve. We told him we were going to Anne's Beach and he suggested Founders Park. So glad we took his advice - He also gave us free passes. I have been to numerous beaches all over Florida and this was... More

Olympic pool with high dives and low dives for the cannon baller in all of us! This place has its own marina and beach and it is very well maintained. The pool is to die for if you are a swimmer. The beach is very family friendly. The sunsets are to die for here!

For those in the know regarding beaches in the Keys, as far as Islamorada goes, Founders is like the best gas station sushi in Alabama. Blame geology and geography. The Keys are coral-based islands, thus very little sand to go around. It's more like fine coral dust. That said, Founders at least has a semblance of a real beach. There's... More

Public, clean, nice water and large area to explore! Lots of shade and nice playground. Clean facilities and outdoor showers, covered picnic tables. We visited this beach on a Tuesday so there were only about 7 families there. It's probably busy on the weekends though. The fee was about $30 for 2 adults and 3 children. There was a large... More

Founder's Park is a fun stop for the family, young and old. There is a beach area (keep in mind Florida Key beaches are not huge), clean restrooms, and a playground. Water was clear and free of a lot of rocks and seaweed. There is also an additional charge to use the park pool. The pool was a lot of... More

We came here in hopes for some nice snorkeling, after reading lrher's reviews. Not much to see, we snorkels the entire south side of the jetty, and that made it ok. The park entry fee is per person, which was kinda costly for a state park, where most are per car in my experience. The gate person was informative, but... More

Very nice, fun pool and beach. I like this pool better than Jacob's Aquatic Center in Key Largo. They were polite and friendly. Nice grassy areas by the pool for picnics. Beach, tennis courts all very nice. Marina with gorgeous boats. A bit expensive with an extra cost to use pool, but hey this is the Keys, right? No snack... More

Boat ramps but rentals not available anymore. Pool and 3m dive board fun and different, nice break for kids to do away from all the normal salt water activities while at Executive Bay Club next door. If you are staying in Islamorada, there is no entry fee.

This is a very nice pool and it is huge. They charge a very high price to enter the park and then another fee to use the pool. There were only about 30 people at the pool and there will only a few chairs. Most people were sitting on picnic tables. I asked if there were any more chairs and... More

Affordable, great beach for swimming and snorkeling! Pool, marina, and much more! I highly recommend this for a picnic and beach day while in the keys!
