As locals, we have enjoyed multiple visits to Founders Park. Our personal faves include the monthly concert series-held on Friday night thru the winter season, the Fourth of July fireworks, as well as other special events held here throughout the year. Evening activities, such as the concert series & fireworks, are FREE to the public; and there is ample parking... More

Lots to do in Founders Park but we usually just use the pool. There's a beach, dog park, basketball hoops, soccer and baseball fields, tennis courts and marina.

We rode our bikes into the park and had a wonderful low key beach day. The beach area isn't large but it is fairly shallow making it great for small children. There is a play ground and a dog park close by as well.

What a hidden gem! The beach was great. This park offered everything...swimming, training track for walking or running, sports, appropriate for all ages. It was great to drive by the yachts. Plenty of shade too.

The beach is very small and tranquill, we visited in early morning and were the only one gests. The entrance of the park is a bit pricy, so if you pay you should spend the whole day to amortize. We had a free pass given by our hotel and stayed only 10 minutes before our visit to theatre of the... More

It's $8 per person and is a smaller beach that is better suited for families with kids. It's very shallow water with bouys that mark off where you should stop. There is a small playground with swings and a few tables scattered throughout. It's pretty quiet if you don't mind the children.

Stopped here for a quick break from driving up through the Keys. It is a smaller beach with soft white sand. Enjoyed the quiet, only a few other people were there that day.

We were looking for somewhere to spend an afternoon on the beach after a long drive. We weren't impressed. The small beach is fine in its way, though the water is very shallow for a long way out, and the changing facilities and restroom were great. But it didn't add up to $16 of value.

We spent a day here after a week out on a sailboat. It was wonderfully relaxing. The beach was quiet and calm. You should wear water shoes here - the beach is sandy, but once you get out into the water there are rocks and various life forms you might not want to step on. The pool and its bath/showers... Founders is a unique park and beach where you can go and spend time at the beach and sun with family. Quiet and clean. Great place for events.
