If you miss this lobster on your right heading south you are too busy being white knuckled on Rt 1. A small village of quant shops - you can kinda kill of the souvenirs for family back home in one stop.

I enjoy the little shops with handmade items. You can pick up typical souvenirs or handmade souvenirs made by local artists.

We had 2 stop 2 take a photo with the giant lobster; but, we didn't go inside. I like 2 take funny photo's 2 send 2 my Mom in Texas--2 make her LOL. We didn't have time 2 go inside. Traffic was really crowded, & we wanted 2 get 2 the Mandalay Oceanfront Grill & Tiki in Key Largo 4... More

...hard to drive by without stopping to check it out, at least once. An abundance of souvenirs to sort through.

On our drive down to Key West, from Miami, we stopped at the rain Barrel to do some gift shopping. We bought several original pieces, and if they were able to ship items back to Canada, for less of a cost, we would have had bought even more! I came home with a wonderful painting of a mermaid, and my... More

We stopped in to get a picture with the giant lobster fully expecting a tourist trap. To our surprise it was a cool set of shops with local artists and some really nice people. I would recommend everybody at least stop in and browse some of the local shops. We will definitely visit again on our next trip to Islamorada.

Years ago I would have called The Rain Barrel a must see. But times have changed. It is mostly imported tourist trap stuff. The real artists have moved on it seems. On a brighter note, the HUGE lobster is awesome.

We mainly stopped to take pix of the gigantic Lobster they have outside. We then went in but did not spend time because we were on our way home. Very crowded inside with arts & crafts in and outside . Lots of unique items! A very worthwhile place to stop and buy!

My friend remembered this fondly as a place were local artists worked in their studios and first class artwork filled this funky building. Not so any more. Most of the merchandise is pure junk that you can buy in a beach souvenir store anywhere. It's so cluttered up you can't even see the walls. The artist studios are gone and... More

The big huge lobster out in front made me stop the first time and now I stop in every time we are in the Keys. I love the art gallery in the Artisan Village. This is where I get my souvenirs when come to the Keys. All of the artwork is done by local artists in several different mediums. Lots... More
