I always take friends and guests from out of town to Islamorada for the day and Rain Barrel is always on the list. Everyone has their photo taken with the lobster and then spend 30 minutes wandering through the eclectic array of shops. There is a small coffee shop But only one toilet FYI!

This is a great place for everyone to shop for all things beach related. Beautiful artist renderings in pictures tiles hangings, metal, shells jewelry. Even a great little restaurant for snacks and smoothies and great carrot cake.

Found the people in Crystal's Treasures to be very rude and the woman at the Sugar Shack never greeted us appropriately. In fact, as we walked in the door she indicated that we had better have change. As the old saying goes, customers vote with their feet . . . we walked right out and spent our money earmarked for... Stop in and buy your Isla Morada memory makes. Buy sundresses, wall art, ice cream and jewelry. Good times.

You have to stop and have your picture taken with the giant lobster. The shops are cute but mostly touristy items. We had a slice of Key Lime pie here. It was pretty good.

Must see if for nothing else to take your picture in front of the giant lobster in the parking lot. I noticed recently there were a few store fronts in the back that were empty. I think they have some issues with the habitability of the structures. However you can find Keysy souvenir's and enjoy the funky atmosphere.

A variety of shops, but truly enjoyed the local artisan shop displaying photography and unique paintings, from a group of artists.

Jam-packed and overflowing with so many objects suitable for gifts and souvenirs. The bakery is a welcome option, especially if you catch the owner working.

A collection of artisan shops and overpriced souvenirs. A fun hour walkabout. We enjoyed making personalized cologne.

You have to get your photo taken with the lobster! Seriously, would you go to France and not photograph the Eiffel Tower? The shops are cool (literally) back in the shade and there are all manor of curios, gifts, mementos and neat stuff! There is plenty of parking in the rear, so don't be put off by all the cars...
