Awesome Place to SUP in Islamorada

The staff at The Kayak Shack is great...super friendly and helpful. We rented 4 stand-up paddle boards and had a great time. Would highly recommend.

rented 2 double canoes plus a paddleboard for 4 hours; easy in and out. helpful staff. got to see a variety of fish, LOTS of jelly fish (DO NOT TIP OVER in shallowest waters) plus a small crocodile in one finger of a canal (not alligator); remember sunscreen - 3-4 hours in january is still intense sun time

We rented 2 kayaks: a single and a double. Both were in great condition and very easy to maneuver for both the novice and the experienced kayaker. Because of rough seas, we had to stay in the protected bay area, but that was such an enjoyable trip, I don't feel like we missed anything. The staff were WONDERFUL - friendly,... More

My family and I had a great time Kayaking and hanging out checking out the fish and birds, and the compound around the kayak shack, Mitchell and Christina were awesome and made my kids feel at ease prior to us setting out, plan on going back soon for another full day of fun.

If you`re in Islamorada for a day or more you have to go to The Kayak Shack @ Robbies and spend a few hours kayaking. The staff is excellent and experienced, Mitchell, Jeff and Stevie B. You`ll see crocs, sharks, Manatees and plenty of Iguanas. Its safe and great fun. Kayaking through the Mangrove tunnels is freaking awesome. This is... More

We did a 1.5 hour jet ski tour with Stevie B. and stopped twice for snorkeling. It was a really fun, thrilling speed ride through the waves and it was pretty easy to learn how with Stevie's instruction, even though it was our first time on a jet-ski. We stopped periodically in note-worthy spots and Stevie would explain some interesting... More

Located just off US 1 so it is easy to get too. The kayak shack is right on the water. The area is easy to paddle and it suitable for the inexperienced although having some kayak skills does help to maneuver through the mangrove channels where trolling is safer than paddling when you can catch the branches and risk being... We rented a kayak for my son-in-law (who doesn't own one) so he could explore the mangrove trails and the nearby Keys with us. We always visit The Kayak Shack when we're in the Keys... The surrounding area is great for both experienced and beginning kayakers. The gentleman who helped us was professional, pleasant and very knowledgeable about the area.... More

Visited the Shack twice now and enjoyed both visits. Taking a kayak or sup to Indian Key is a definite highlight but the mangrove route is fun too.
