The church was closed when we visited. The grounds are beautiful and I especially loved the rosary stepping stones. Worth a visit just to say a prayer at the Grotto.

Saint Mary's has it all...a beautiful church with a fabulous priest. Father John is the most gentle, pious, personable soul you could ever meet. He presides over his basilica with such love and welcome spirit that it is a pleasure to bring visitors to church.

Attended mass here and had a pleasant morning. They host coffee and donuts after the service and my spouse did some shopping in the gift shop. The convent, school and church have some great history that is worth exploring.

This church and gardens are worth to visit . The building itself is a gem. I love the architecture with some hints of key west style . It's doors are open for everybody.

I just want to comment on a recent incident at the church. A young, homeless religious girl was praying in the garden and the gardener told her she couldn't be there. She went inside and prayed near the alter. Soon after, officers tapped her on the shoulder and escorted her outside. She was then arrested for trespassing (it is in... More

Take the time to walk the entire grounds. The church is wonderfully understated and clearly fits into Key West. The stations of the cross mosaic frames outside and the rosary brick path are all really nicely done.

We just LOVED this beautiful Catholic church in Key west florida. it has a beautiful grotto in the side yard with a wonderful story of hurricane protection with it. and the church is inviting and has opening doors on the sides all along the sides of the church for cool airflow. it is a wonderful experience to pray there.

A nice place to stop by and chill. I loved the open air concept of the church. Lots of history is available on large computer at the front enterance. Make sure to walk the garden also. Whether your Catholic or not it's an interesting and peaceful venue to visit.

Beautiful and vibrant church. Also on the grounds is the grotto to Our Lady of Lourdes as well as a rosary path with all the decades posted.

How fortunate the residents are to have such a young parish and wonderful priests. I love the sense of community at the youth Mass. The basillica is magnificent and the grotto a bonus.
