There is an air about this church that is hard to explain. it is inspiring and peaceful. Nice gift shop. They have a grotto in the premises imitating the one in Lourdes where the Virgin Mary appeared. Nice location right off Truman Avenue.

I am a Roman Catholic and attend mass every Sunday. This is a nice church, not spectacular. A couple services on Sunday's plus confessions. Not much of a sight seeing place. If you like seeing and visiting churches like I do, you can stop by but don't expect anything extraordinary.

Went to mass on Sunday. They have a very friendly and inviting congregation. Many tourists were there. The priest was very welcoming.

Liked the church, the staff and the manner in which they received people. There was nothing to dislike about this church!

Whether your Catholic or not, this is one of the only basilica's in the US and well worth taking time to visit while in Key West. The unique architecture of this old religious building is very inviting and a special place to find some quiet and peace away from Duval Street. The grotto, built by a local nun after the... More

When the weather allows the window shutters are open and a breeze blows through the church. The congregation is friendly and welcoming and makes you feel at home. Masses are at convenient times Saturday evening and Sunday morning and there is available parking behind the church in a parish parking lot.

The church is opened every day and the doors are all open and inviting. The outdoor gardens are lovely and it has one of the most beautiful stations of the cross. A wonderful peaceful beautiful church that just brings you inside.

We had the pleasure of a visit to Saint Mary Star of The Sea Basilica, what a Beautiful Treasure! The oldest Catholic Church in The Keys, it's beauty is breath taking! Tall open doors from floor to ceiling are left open, welcoming people to stop in for a Visit! The grounds are also beautiful and well appointed, a Walking Rosary... More
