The early morning Tuesday mass was beautiful. I walked to the grotto, but loved the outdoor stations of the cross even more. If you enjoy outdoor meditation and prayer time, you'll have the privacy to sit and reflect without being watched behind the gates. With the sound of running water from the central fountain, find a bench and spend your... More

We stopped in on a Wed. afternoon. No one was around, and it was so peaceful and beautiful. Doors open down both sides to keep it the perfect temp inside. There is a lovely prayer garden around back. Perfect place to stop and thank God for the beauty of the Keys.

The church and grounds are very peaceful and we enjoyed visiting the memorials in the yard. This is a great place to stop before heading over to the Key West cemetery.

How nice it was to feel the breeze ( they open the windows/doors) while sitting inside of this beautiful church! I went in there almost everyday just to feel that peace ( I should have paid more attention to mass though lol). The rosary garden was very cute as well. It's definitely worth a visit.

This church, the oldest Catholic church in South Florida, has a wonderful energy and spirituality. The congregation seems like one big family representing the mix of people who make Key West their home. They're very welcoming to visitors (it's startling to be applauded at Mass). Even if you're not a believer, attend a weekend Mass and feel at home. The... More

I spent many a young day on Duval street. Summer after summer drinking and parting. Now that I am a "man" I love this place. The pastor is so loving of all. The Eucharist chapel is open 24hr day.

We attended the Saturday evening vigil mass at the basilica and felt as though we were at home. The priest's homily was lively and interesting and the congregants were friendly and seemed to know each other. We very much appreciate Sister Mary Silvestry Mushi making us feel so welcomed. Highly recommend visiting the church and attending mass, especially if you're... More
