A beautiful(!) Holy place. We attended Easter Mass there, and were thoroughly impressed by the clergy and message. Later midweek, we were drawn back to this lovely edifice, and spent fifteen minutes in silent meditation and prayer. (This was not during a formal religious service.) The beauty of this House of God will truly nourish your mind and soul.

Beautiful small church, side windows open to let the salt air through. They have a very nice gift shop. An active parish, and in a very nice setting. Outdoor stations of the cross. A serene setting.

We always seem to be in Key West over a Sunday and every time we come to St Mary Star of the Sea we feel so welcomed. At some time during the mass the celebrant always welcomes out-of-town visitors. The church is very pretty and it's so nice when the weather permits the side doors to be opened. The community... More

100+ year old church with metal ceiling. Beautiful stained glass window behind altar of St. Mary and sailing vessels. Quiet place to gather ones thoughts near hectic Duval Street.

Worth the stop. Go just before the sun goes down! Say a prayer ...light a candle. We were humbled. The grounds are perfectly groomed. Just take the stone path behind the church.

My wife and I attended Mass here this evening. They were very proud because one of their own had just recently been anointed a priest in Miami and had "come home" to celebrate a weekend of masses at the parish where he grew up. It was heartwarming to see and he seems to be a nice guy. The church inside... More

We were visiting Key West over Mothers day, attended mass here. What a wonderful surprise. Loved it! The Church and grounds are beautiful, the sermon was one of the best I've enjoyed in a while and we felt welcomed and at home.

This Church is a Basilica and a simple yet beautiful church and altar. We used to attend Mass here when we overnighted in Key West and hadn't been there in a number of years. It has been beautifully restored and designated a Basilica.
