Very well designed and layout to enjoy the butterflies, birds and floral. From the moment you walk through the doors into the conservatory, you feel that you have left the hot sun and escaped into a tranquil and relaxing spot. Several benches are available along the path to sit and watch. Keep an eye out all around you even your... more

We had a great time here. The people who work here are very informative and helpful. The gift shop is full of great items that are very reasonable to purchase to take home for friends and family. more

My husband, adult daughter and I visited the Butterfly Conservatory in late September. We were told to visit in the morning, as the butterflies were more active then. After a delicious breakfast at Banana Cafe, and armed with $1 discount coupons, we decided to see what it was all about. All three of us were glad that we went. The... more

You can walk through the place within 1 minute. There are a lot of butterflies flying. but you really hard to see the difference between them because the fly fast. It's so small, we paid $12 per person so we tried to take time to enjoy the butterfly world, 20 minutes later, we really had no reason to stay longer.... more

My husband and I visited the conservatory during the first week of August. The butterflies are magnificent, the tropical plant life is splendid, and it's just an overall wonderful experience. I could have literally spent hours there! Must see! more

We actually enjoyed exploring this rather small conservatory because of the cool weather. However it is small compared to the butterfly farm in Penang, Malaysia. Furthermore many of the butterflies were "imported" from Malaysia. I guess if you have 1-2 hours to spare and if the weather is cool enough, you may want to visit here. But skip if you... more

I would think that children at a butterfly garden would be pretty common, but I guess the Key West Butteryfly Conservatory does not feel that way. An employee made me know he was bothered by my son carrying around an item that we were going to buy. He said to me "there are signs all over the store indicating children... more

This is one of those places that you could spend lots of time in or just do a quick walk through. Would suggest early mornings or later afternoon though to avoid the mass of people on the small paths. Lots of fun. Gift shop is way over priced though. more

Your friends told you to go to "this bar" and you did. They told you to drink "this drink" and you did...several times. Your head is exploding and the temptations of lower Duval Street are a bit too much to bear right now. Isn't there someplace to retreat to nurse your hangover? As a matter of fact, the Butterfly Conservatory... more

The Butterfly Conservatory is absolutely beautiful. As soon as you walk through the doors, the butterflies will greet you. The conservatory is beautiful and very well taken care of by the staff. The butterflies are all over the place, in every shape, color, and size. I took a camera with me and got some beautiful pictures of them flying, nesting... more
