We never thought we'd be attracted to this attraction, but wanted to do something new in Key West and read the reviews in Tripadvisor. We're glad we went. What a wonderful place! And while the butterflies' lifespan is so short (many only 10 days to 3 weeks) - what an ideal location to spend one's life! Nectar abounding, in carefully... More

If you arrive when they first open you'll be there when the butterflies are most actively flying around. We walked around it twice and probably did not see all of the varieties of butterflies that they have. More

At first, I really didn't want to go..... butterflies...big deal... but the rest of my family wanted to go, so I went along, and I actually enjoyed it. The people there were great and nice and were extremely helpful. the conservatory itself was really nicely laid out... a brick path that curved around with all types of plants and butterflies....... Several varieties of beautiful butterflies and birds. We walked through and the butterflies landed on us because we were wearing bright colors. More

I was staying at a B&B in Key West, visiting with some fellow guests over breakfast one morning. They told me that they had been to the Key West Butterfly Conservatory the previous day and had spent over an hour there. I said to myself, "Sure, I like butterflies. Spending that much time hanging out with the little flutter-byes...really?" In... More

Such a relaxing place after the hustle bustle of the rest of Key West. We actually went back a second day because the first visit recharged our batteries so well. Just take a slooooow walk through and enjoy the beauty...I recommend morning visits on hot days! Even though I'm typically much more enthusiastic about gardening....and they have some really beautiful... More

My grandchildren can't get enough of this fun place. Hundreds ( maybe thousands) of butterflies in all the colors on plants, trees, even your shirt and little birds at your feet. Fun for the whole family. More

This place was amazing! So serene and peaceful, we walked through the observatory and saw so many different types of butterflies, birds, and flowers. It is obvious great care goes into taking care of this place. We could have spent an entire day there! The gift shop was interesting as well, especially the butterfly art they had on the walls....
