We were augh struck walking to the arboretum seeing the butterflies fluttering around. The flamingos were beautiful walking around in the tropical paradise. The music is so relaxing we had to laugh. Reminded us of the movie Coma. We did leave with all our parts! Silly humor aside. It is a beautiful place and the butterflies are amazing.

We loved this little gem tucked away at the far end of Duval. You would ot know it for the outside, but it is a lovely secret garden! I've been to a handful of butterfly gardens, and even though this one was smaller than most, never have I seen so much activity. The butterflies were just zipping by all over.... More

It is a small and very well structured butterflies' sanctuary, with an extremely welcoming staff. I really enjoyed strolling along butterflies, birds and pink flamingos! Don't think it is imagined only for kids, adults can and do enjoy it a lot! Just bring your camera and have fun at Key West's most famous attraction. A souvenir shop completes the scene.... More

This is such a beautiful, peaceful place to spend an hour or two. The amazing variety of butterflies is surprising. If you have kids (or are a kid at heart), are a nature lover, do add this to your list of places to see!

The cost is low for such a beautiful place. You can get so close to the butterflies, and perfect photo opportunities abound because of it, and there's a brochure showing you which butterfly is which. Being inside was wonderful; it was like being a sprite in a very pretty valley. :)

We took our 2 year old granddaughter with us and she loved it. We did as well it was fairly reasonably priced and we slowly walked through checking out the large variety of butterflies they had. There were several birds and other little critters to keep a 2 year olds attention for almost an hour and a half.

Conservatory was great for our 14 month old baby - she loved it. She was able to walk with birds, butterflies and a squawking flamingo. A huge blue butterfly landed on her head. It's a great experience for kids. That being said, if you are kidless in Key West I would pass on the conservatory.

Saw amazing butterflies up close and the pics don't do them justice. The conservatory is well maintained but is small in size. After paying a fee less than $20 you enter a small conservatory that you can spend about 30-45 mins viewing the butterflies, small birds and the two flamingos in about that time. There are a couple of guides... More
