The scenery and snorkeling was just so unbelievably beautiful and breathtaking, like being transported to another world. The only thing I would have changed would have been to slow down time. For the price of $165 pp. the trip includes: transportaion too and from, entry into the park, breakfast and lunch buffets, all snorkeling gear and a guided tour of... More

The boat, the crew, the sights, Fort Jefferson and its history and the snorkeling will be something I will always remember. Even though the sun was not shining, the underwater life was breathtaking! Saw two turtle nests and wish we could have stayed longer! This is a must see/do! More

If you're looking to visit Fort Jefferson, the Yankee Freedom II is a good way to get there. The boat can hold 250, but they only take 150 per trip, so there's room to move about. The tables in the center booths are narrow, however, so it's hard to comfortably sit directly across from someone. The food was plentiful and... More

We took a day trip over to Dry Tortuga National Park and decided on the ferry vs. sea plane (mostly cost). For the price $168pp, we got a breakfast buffet, lunch buffet, round trip ferry transportation (about 2 hours each way), snorkeling, and a great tour of Fort Jefferson. The ferry ride was wonderful both inside (air conditioning) and outside... More

I read some of the negative reviews. I know reserving a trip like this is tricky because the weather plays a major part in the boating experience. It is a large boat but not a cruse ship. Know what you are getting into. Take some dramamine. Bring sun scree, and a light rain jacket is always a good idea when... More

Great trip 70 miles off shore. Good snorkeling, breakfast and lunch included. Little pricey but, hey, you're on vacation. Fort was very nice. More

This ferry takes you from Key West to Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas. The trip is several hours each way but worth it to see the Fort. You can also snorkel once you are there. There is a nice beach area. We left Key West in a drizzle but the skies mostly cleared by the time we got to... More

Very good and experienced crew takes you to the Dry Tortugas National Park. It's a two hour ride (one way), and they bring the food and drinks. You will have about 4 hours at the park. Well worth the effort to visit this historic and beautiful park. I'm sure that the water is not smooth on all days, but it... More

I can't say enough about our trip on the Yankee Freedom to the Dry Tortugas! My husband and I went along with our 6 year old daughter. It was an all day adventure that we will never forget. The crew on the Yankee Freedom offered the kids on board an opportunity to fill out the Junior Park Ranger booklet, and... More

The crew aboard the Yankee Freedom was great and can't say enough good things about them. Service and food excellent. However, the sea was rough, lots of sea sickness, and journey too long to visit Dry Tortugas National Park, which does not even have a public restroom. One group on the ferry was a bird watching club who were restricted... More
