This was one of the places we stopped at on our last day in KW. We had fun, the pirates were very nice. They give a short tour of the entrence pretty much, then tell you to take your time & enjoy yourself. The place is full of interesting "things" If you choose you can walk up the tower, now... more
I thought this museum was pretty cool. It's got some very old artifacts and the layout of the building was interesting. Overall the museum lacked depth, but was worthwhile. I will agree that it's a bit overpriced. more
I took my 10 year old son to the Pirate Soul museum. It was cool. Be aedvised that it's really set up like a museum - a lot of reading about legends and facts with artifacts. The info is presented with great scenery - in one area you feel like you're on the deck of a pirate ship - and... more
We toured the museum with our 13yr old, 11yr old, and 7yr old. At our leisurely pace, it took just under an hour. While our kids thought it was neat, our 13yr old pointed out how much reading there is for a 7yr old, even if she is a good reader. There is one part where you sit in the... more
This is a small walk through about pirates. It shows things that they've found, which was pretty neat. If it is real. Then they have a room where you go and can put on head phones and listen to a story which was neat. But not if you have young kids because they don't like sitting in complete blackness nor... more
If it weren’t for the Trip Advisor reviews, we would have assumed that this was a typical tourist trap. We’re so glad we read the reviews because this is one darned good museum that provides an excellent, factual representation of genuine pirate history. The exhibits are very well done; the sit-down computer books of pirate biographies are outstanding; the audio-booth... more
We visited the Pirate Soul museum on March 6th, 2008, and had a great time. We rented the audio tour, which was stored on a little ipod mini. (they give you in-ear headphones, you might want to double check that they have sanitized them before putting them in your ears!). The audio tour seemed well done and would probably appeal... more
I knew a few of the people that had worked on the museum and knew that I had to visit when I went to Key West. It was a great place to step out of the heat and dive into the settings of a pirate's life. From the streeptscape to the pub to the ship itself, there was a lot... more
This was a really fun museum and I'm glad we dicovered it as it is off the beaten path. Very interesting and the kids we saw just loved it! After visiting there is a nifty little restraunt next door. We sat on the rooftop bar and drank mojito's and ate the best cheese smothered fries I have ever had! Had... more
