This is a gorgeous wee beach, perfect for families with young children as it's very safe! The sand is lovely, clean & soft! The water is crystal clear & warm & great for the kids to snorkel in or just play! The little bar lagger-heads is on this beach & the staff there are lovely & friendly! They serve amazing... More

We arrived at the beach just as the small restaurant and beach house were opening for the day. We paid a small fee and rented the loungers and umbrella. The area was clean, and had white soft sand under foot. The sights were terrific and we enjoyed a relaxing three hours listening to the waves.

Small, but nice/ clean beach. Close to restaurants and bars and a few blocks from Duval St. There's a very nice beach stand that serves food and drinks as well. May want to get to the beach early and find a good spot to sit since it's not very big. I would definitely return when in KW.

At the south end of Simonton and Duval Streets, this beach is a hidden gem. Compact but large enough for a decent number of swimmers, it has good sandy base (note that Key West has to import its sand so it may not be as comfortable in regard to texture) for setting up a chair and an umbrella for the... This beach has been going through a transformation - a very good transformation. We tried to stop there today, but they had just received a huge load of sand and men were spreading it over the beach. Key West does not have good sand on the beaches, but this was very light colored and clean looking. It is the prettiest... More

I read about this small beach at 0 Simonton St. I heard it had a bar on it so we decided to find it. We were pleasantly surprised. You could get wet here and have a drink close to other downtown activities. The Lagerhead Bar was great. It is mostly a walk up bar with some food and drinks.

Although we are locals, we really enjoy this beach. It's "Keysey"...it's not Daytona or Maui, but it has island charm. Totally agree with the other reviews, that Laggerheads Beach Cafe is excellent. Had their Veggie Burger several times; it's great...service is really good. Planning to return next week!!!

This is the smallest beach ever, but it's closed until October because they are adding more imported sand. Didn't get to go to Lagerheads. The owner probably took vacation as many businesses seem to do this time of year.

Visited Lagerheads on a day trip to Key West - lovely bar, lovely staff and cold beer that didn't cost a fortune. Food was lovely, especially the fish tacos. If ever we're lucky enough to get back to Key West, would definitely go back here.

Great view and next to the hilton. Beach guys were very attentive and setup an umbrella and two lounges real fast. $20 for the entire day. Swimming area small but adequate if you want to get wet.
