This beach has been going through a transformation - a very good transformation. We tried to stop there today, but they had just received a huge load of sand and men were spreading it over the beach. Key West does not have good sand on the beaches, but this was very light colored and clean looking. It is the prettiest... More

I read about this small beach at 0 Simonton St. I heard it had a bar on it so we decided to find it. We were pleasantly surprised. You could get wet here and have a drink close to other downtown activities. The Lagerhead Bar was great. It is mostly a walk up bar with some food and drinks.

Although we are locals, we really enjoy this beach. It's "Keysey"...it's not Daytona or Maui, but it has island charm. Totally agree with the other reviews, that Laggerheads Beach Cafe is excellent. Had their Veggie Burger several times; it's great...service is really good. Planning to return next week!!!

This is the smallest beach ever, but it's closed until October because they are adding more imported sand. Didn't get to go to Lagerheads. The owner probably took vacation as many businesses seem to do this time of year.

Visited Lagerheads on a day trip to Key West - lovely bar, lovely staff and cold beer that didn't cost a fortune. Food was lovely, especially the fish tacos. If ever we're lucky enough to get back to Key West, would definitely go back here.

Great view and next to the hilton. Beach guys were very attentive and setup an umbrella and two lounges real fast. $20 for the entire day. Swimming area small but adequate if you want to get wet.

Just two years ago, this public beach was not very nice and had no facilities. Now, the beach is lovely--well maintained and even has a snack shack with toilet! Mind you, the beach is tiny by normal standards, but rather typical for Key West. The owner of the snack shack is very friendly and trying hard. There are even umbrellas... More

It has been years since I've had this much fun having a beer in Key West. the owners are very nice and very professional. The beach is beautiful. Most importantly, the staff is outstanding! Don't miss this place.

We've been going to KW for year's and typically always went to Ft. Zach, which is wonderful if not always convenient. The clean up of Simonton Street beach is a very welcome surprise - we actually spent most days on this quiet, somewhat hidden beach during trip this month. The folks running the beach, chair rentals, boat tour and Lagerhead's... More

Key West does not have a lot of beaches and we were surprised how small this beach was. However, there is this great, small bar/restaurant call Loggerheads that serves awesome fish tacos and fish sandwiches located at this beach. You can grab a beer and rent a chaise/ umbrella for a nominal amount. For $15 a person, we took an... More
