I always visit the museum when I come to Key West. There is so much rich history and great artists featured. Amazing museum and great little shop with friendly staff!

If you are in Key West for an extended time and want to do something different, this is a great place to visit. I'm more of a history lover but I could appreciate the local art and flavor. If nothing else just go so you can pose with all of the statues in the front and back of museum.

When you get tired of the hustle and bustle of Duval Street with its myriad of shops, bars, and people, step into this beautiful old building. It offers changing art displays, but most of all, provides an in-depth presentation of Ernest Hemingway's life and the story of the building of the railroad to the sea. Henry Flagler, who built the... More

It was a very nice visit with unique exhibits and art to peruse. As part of our tour package, I am very glad it was included. Centrally located it is so informative for those visiting Key West, giving an insight into the culture and history of the island.

This is a nice little museum, worth a stop to get a glimpse of key Wests interesting past. Some nice exhibits to help understand the gist of the Key and it's history. Visit here, then go read some Hemingway on the beach!

Keep in mind that I am reviewing this museum in terms of other museums and in terms of things to do in Key West. With that in mind, this museum surely fits the personality of this eclectic island. You must at least wander the sculptures outside if you are in the area (free). I also enjoyed the shopping and restaurants... More

We were concerned as to whether we would enjoy this...finally decided to do it. Don't miss it as it is extremely well done. We will go back as the exhibits of course change.

Beautiful sculptures outside, gorgeous red-brick building and great pieces of art inside its walls. We loved everything about it. The exhibition about "The Old Man And The Sea" is just outstanding! The great art pieces upstairs recall the old time Key West, the railroad history and its precursors. Should not be missed! Highly recommended!

Some of the buildings in KW delight and this is one. Also do not miss the walgreen's on Duval? Why? It is an old movie palace. The town has many layers. Fun to peel them back.
