It's a great building, well deserve your time, there are some really beautiful sculptures outside. Worth the time to visit also the surroundings are really quiet.
This museum was a great get away from the crowds for me. I was the only person visiting it that afternoon. I can not imagine why this would be as it was excellent. The Old Man and the Sea exhibit was well done but it was the second floor that really held my interest. For anyone wanting to learn more... More
Nice way to kill an hour. The Guy Harvey- Old Man and the Sea Exhibit was great. Nice art throughout and some really cool sculptures outside. Building itself is beautiful and well restored. Worth the time to visit if only to get away from the crowds.
We had gone through the museum and found it to be interesting...though not the best museum in Key West. Still, it was affordable in comparison and I really liked learning about the history of sponging and the Guy Harvey exhibit. I would recommend going; nice break from the chaos of Duval St ;)
I loved the Guy Harvey exhibit. Enjoyed the railway story and the hurricaine story. Not crowded and staff were polite. The outside art is a hoot and fun and free just to walk around. Overall definitely worth doing.
Beautiful building, currently special exhibit titled "The old man and the sea" with excellent drawings. A few paintings. Upstairs nicely displayed historic facts and exhibits including Flagler railroad, overseas highway.
