This was a very interesting spot to spend a little time. If you enjoy plants it is a must see on your trip to Key West.

Loved the price=free!! Very fun and relaxing place. A true tropical paradise. The orchids weren't in bloom but I'm sure that when they are it is a sight to behold. This overlooks the ocean and beach and is a great shady place to relax before exploring more of Key West. Make sure to leave a small donation before leaving

Short but interesting tour of old fort. Volunteers now use it for various interesting plants. Very informative host on our visit. Donations for entry. Not air conditioned but fairly shaded with fans.

This is an amazing old fort turned into a garden. The folks who care for the gardens do an amazing job. I took many photos here, some of which I have made note cards with. Loved it !!

The staff at the bike store recommended this charming spot. We would have written right past it if they hadn't told us to be sure to stop. One word - Go! It's beautiful!

This is an incredibly beautiful garden in Key West that is a do not miss for the visitor. Located inside an old fort, seeing all the gorgeous plants intermixed with the old fort is a very unique experience. This has to be the best way I have ever seen to reuse an old fort. The plants are gorgeous. The history... More

We are so glad we visited the Key West Garden Club. The fort is cool. My favorite part was the giant garden- lots of plants, flowers, & trees. There is a lot to see, and you have a beautiful ocean/beach view along the trail. I think this is a bit off the beaten path. There was no line and we... More

This a very unexpected surprise in Key West. It is free and a local garden club maintains the site. Donations are accepted. I believe the red brick fort "West Martello" is from around the Civil War era. The ruins are the backdrop to this tropical garden filled with plants I don't see in the Midwest. You can wander around and... More

This was our second visit to this unique garden. If you love gardens and tropical plants you will love this one! The staff was friendly and gave us some helpful hints for our own garden.

I loved its history and beauty. Right at the waters edge...stories of how storm destroyed parts of it and how locals helped donate to rebuild it...
