I love A Key Encounter. I discovered it quite by accident over 10 years ago. The 2 films are lovely and very interesting. The wildlife walk is short, but beautiful and worthwhile. I can't believe RJP3 said this place is a scam. Not at all. It is a delightful, free attraction to all who wish to enjoy it. It is... More

This is a wonderful hidden gem. Even locals don't know about it! It's INSIDE the Clinton Square Market Mall on the top floor. NICE volunteers are very friendly and helpful. Live birds do a meet-n-greet inside the door. We had a lot of fun holding and petting a Macaw, a Cockatoo & Cockatiels at the entrance. Movies are FREE and... More

Nuff said --- any place that has to trick you to their religious propaganda should not be trusted. Again if they were HONEST about their evangelical intent fine, but they are not. Of course the Chic-Fil-A cruise ship crowd may love it.

A nice little free attraction. They have a few birds out front to take pictures with (a Scarlet Macaw, a Blue and Gold Macaw and a Moluccan Cockatoo) as well as some inside you can hold. They have two shows, one is a planetarium show including several pictures from Hubble and the other is a nature show with a lot... More

The LARGE SCREEN Key movie is the best to watch. They are always very nice and welcoming when you arrive and will even play the movie if you are the only one. My kids love to watch the movie. They show you many of the wildlife of the FL Keys.

Nice spot for a quick visit. Tropical birds available to take pictures. Very interesting and educational film about the flora and fauna of the keys. Also a planetarium show, which we did not have time to view.

I have been to the Key Encounter a couple times. It is truly the best thing in the Florida Keys. The presentation is wonderful. The birds are great and the white bird in the lobby can't get enough love. If you planning a trip to the Keys put this on your top of your list.

The Key West Encounter was informative and uplifting. The planetarium was also interesting. All for free and provided by a religious organization so of course the attraction has a Christian message. Relaxing and insightful a pleasant change from the obvious decadence of much of the island

Sham intended to get people to view their evangelical nonsense: ridiculous that they can pretend to be a nature center!

This is a peaceful place to visit in busy Key West. The three screen presentation is beautiful and speaks gracefully of creation of various creatures. The volunteers are fun and friendly, the parrots are beautiful, and the handouts are thoughtful and uplifting.
