Apparently the sunsets and sunrises from the White Street pier are the locals choice. I've heard tell that it's preferred to the tourist destination of the more famous "Sunset Pier" at the northern end of Duval. I've tried both locations for the sunset and fully agree. The view is superior. I also like it because the hustle and bustle of... More

My previous review was about how great the sunrises are from here. Unfortunately this time they are doing repairs that are much needed to the structure. Once it is completed you must go here, but for now go to Higgs beach pier to catch the sunrise. It doesn't go out as far so during July it rises more over land... More

When you walk to the end of the pier, you can get two very different views. The first is to look out to the water and see that there is nothing around you. The second is to look back and see the island in all its beauty. Definitely a worthwhile place to visit, especially because it is free.

Each trip I make to Key West must include one early morning at White Street Pier. It's next to Higgs Beach, so you see the homeless people sleeping in the picnic table pavillions there, but they don't bother you. There is a very moving AIDS memorial at the entrance to the pier. You will see early morning dog-walkers, joggers, bicyclists,... More

If you want to see a beautiful sunrise this is the place to do it! The pier is enormous and goes out quite far into the ocean.

Loved the White St Pier. We rode our bikes here every morning to watch the sunrise. We have some absolutely gorgeous pictures. It is very mellow in the morning. We would watch the sunrise and then get our workout in. We took our resistance bands and jump ropes - there is plenty of room. Is is also a good place... More

This is a nice little beach, one of the few beaches on Key West. The sand is white and the water is clear. Although it is not what it used to be 20 years ago, there are still some fish to be netted up on the grass flats to view, photo, and release unharmed. But for the most part, things... More

This is a locals' favorite place to enjoy the sunset through the winter months. The pier is also a great place to teach a kid how to fish, to catch bait or to let your dog off leash - you're not supposed to, but if your dog is nice you can get away with it. You're also further south than... More

We rode our rental bikes out to the end of the White Street Pier, passing lots of people fishing along the way. it was kind of neat, there is a very large area at the end so there's plenty of room. The wave crash into the rocks and if the wind is right you get to enjoy a refreshing spray... More

We stumbled across this pier while driving thru Key West. There was plenty of free parking and the walk to the end of the pier was nice. The water is really clear and we saw several needle fish and some crabs.
