We enjoy going to the Tropic Cinema because they make it an enjoyable experience. When you buy your tickets, the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Beer, wine, and a great chocolate selection is available at the concessions. We appreciate the extra mixing bag for popcorn and the large selection of salts and seasonings. The theaters are clean and... More

What a neat theatre! The staff loves this place and shares that love with movie go-ers. It was a pleasure to visit with other folks who wanted to go to the movies (not talk on cellphones and text throughout). Good prices and looks like a varied selection. Keep it in mind for a rainy day or a change of pace... More

A nonprofit charitable enterprise run by volunteers. Movies slightly non-mainstream. Very friendly personnel and atmosphere with fresh popcorn and a bar of assorted flavorings plus fresh cookies in the late afternoon (all for sale, of course).

I love the Tropic for so many reasons...always a great movie selection, kind volunteers, and popcorn that you will crave after leaving...you can also order a glass of wine and relax during your movie.

Best strategy on hot summer day is get to the theatre around 2:00. We saw Venus in Fur and Begin Again. Lived the small intimate theatre and the refreshment selections which included really good fresh popcorn and alcohol

This is a very cute theater that plays some great movies. They are reasonably priced and have a nice selection of snacks.
