They don't take credit cards, their mixed drinks are small, and the bartenders are unfriendly. Why other locals hang out there is beyond me. more

Great locals bar, tourists too if you don't mind being served after everyone else. Just remember a Key West local is someone who got to town the day before you. We stumbled upon this place walking to the beach. Since it's off the main drag it's missed by most doing the Duval crawl. They have live music and free popcorn! The frozen margaritas hit the spot and cooled us down enough to soldier on to the beach. more

We stopped in here to have a beer and we got just that, a good cold beer. One thing I found interesting was the bar had no A/C but the ladies room was cool (A/C was working good) The people were nice. Noticed later that night the place was packed. So they must be doing something right :) more

Stumbled across this place when doing a personal walking tour. My girlfriend and I loved the place. Great little hole in the wall - open since 1890. As said, cheap beer, and strong drinks - and freindly bar staff. Live band came on and rocked the house, one of the best memories of our Keys trip. more

The Green Parrot will get you coming and going when you stay where we stayed during our 10 vacation in KW. We would stop and have a couple on our walk down to the square. And, of course, we would have to stop to have 'one more' on our way home. At night we could hear the music coming from... more

We were not made to feel welcome in this establishment at all. This is more of a locals place and apparantly they want to keep it that way. I guess someone forgot to them them they're in a tourist town. Too bad for them - we would have spent a lot of money in there, but took our tourist dollars... more
