Description: A sunny place for shady people. The Green Parrot is the first and last bar...
A sunny place for shady people. The Green Parrot is the first and last bar on US1, and brings Key West the best live musical acts from across North America. Equal parts honky-tonk, dive bar and local hangout, The Green Parrot defies definition in musical range, decor and drink selections. Voted best live music venue in Florida by Florida Magazine. You'll find everyone at The Green Parrot - from Key West politicians playing bingo on Mondays to boat captains dancing into the night with their "catch of the day."

We have yet to do an evening at the Green Parrot. We hope to enjoy one of their ukulele nights. During our visits, we always stop in for a drink, check out the decor, and buy one of their awesome shirts. Always go saying I don't need one but I always get one anyhow. It is one of the legendary... More

If you are looking for live music, great atmosphere and GREAT drinks, this is the place to visit. The drinks alone had me and my friend waiting to stay in Key West an extra night. 😂😂😂 Highly recommend!

We stopped here several times on our visit. Loved it. Great place away from all the "kids" on Duval. Juke box has great selections. Reminded us of the little bar we go to at home in a small town but Key West has way better weather!!

Always visit whenever we are in town. However the best time to be here is at night with live music. Plenty of locals seem to agree.

This is the best bar when trying to avoid the tourist crowds. Best juke box, not your typical music selection - tons of New Orleans bands (galactic, Mia borders, poppa grows funk). Seriously we stayed here for hours just drinking and jamming. This is not the kind of place where drunks girls get on stage and flash their goodies. Valerie... More

Thanks for the props, reading the things you liked about us, it's no surprise you're a visitor from New Orleans. We are often compared to some of New Orleans' most popular off-Bourbon Street dives. If you see Mia, Borders, Popa Grows Funk, and Galactic on the juke box it's because they all have played here, yes, even Galactic back in... More

We have been to key west twice and just booked our third trip. We can't wait to get to the green parrot! Great drinks, great people, great music! For several weeks after our trips we will log on to the web cam and pretend we are still there while we drink on our back porch! It's a must go!!!!!

Green parrot is a ok place some days of the week. Not very friendly bar staff but ok drinks. Seems to have a lot of locals who are tired of tourists.

Jonis, first off, we are very sorry you had what seems to be a very flat, unremarkable experience at our bar. I assure you that our bartenders try their best to give everyone prompt and friendly service to insure your experience at the Green Parrot exceeds your expectations. If we failed to do so this time around I hope you... More

On a typical gorgeous night in KW we wanted to go somewhere not so touristy. The Green Parrot is that bar, with its fusion of locals, local bands, and tourist, (yes there is no escaping them), the GP treats everyone as though they live in the neighborhood. The bar tenders and wait staff make an effort to not only remember... More

This place was like a block from our house. First one we went to when we got in and it's perfect. It's like a neighborhood bar that you'd expect to be very comfortable in. The bartenders were pretty busy and it took a little bit to get our drinks, but there is plenty of places to sit and it was... More

They don't serve food but there is a decent BBQ place right behind them and they let you bring in a small portion. The draft beers are cold and cheap. The items on the walls will keep you busy for a few hours. Enjoy!
