We just got back from Higgs Beach and I must say that the snorkeling at Higgs Beach has been a well kept secret. We walked out on the new pier and entered the water using the last steps down. Wear crocks(if not wearing swim fins) for the first 5-10 feet through the coarse coral/sand. Sandy & very shallow out to the old breakwall that is perpendicular to the wharf.
