Great beach and atmosphere. Not quite like South Beach but has some good areas and trees. Nice place to chill with family and kids.

If you must get to the beach or into the water, this is a fine choice. Chairs are available for a fee. We brought our own cooler of snacks and drinks. The beach was okay, but very crowded (try Fort Zachary instead). Water visibility is poor, so snorkeling is best done elsewhere (like Hawaii or Cayman). That having been said,... More

The beach was sandy and had a gentle slope into the water, but it was full of seagulls as well as their droppings; it didn't seem very clean. However, we did enjoy walking down the long pier.

Could've been much nicer; it seems that there's no structure, or courtesy. It's a cluster of chaos! Not certain how to improve it.

On this beach you got the sun right were it should be, the sand is really nice but it might be a little crowded. If you like it a bit calmer you can try Fort Zachary.

We had just arrived Keywest from Miramar and walked down to the beach. We didnt plan on going into the water so we just took photos and more photos and left but we saw people relaxing on their beach chairs by the beach front and reckon it's an ok place to stop by for any first timers.

Fell upon this beach while driving around key west. I found the Aids memorial was inspirin as well as the quotes on the memorial. While standing at the end of the pier, you have a beautiful view of the ocean and can take in its grandeur.

We went here at the suggestion of a good friend and I have to say it was very relaxing, being able to lay down on very comfortable beach chairs in the shade. The only reason, I am not giving it five stars is because you do have to pay to rent the chairs and umbrella, the water was not super... More

All the beaches in Key West are manmade. This one is lovely white sand, gently sloping to the water - the water is clear and fun to snorkle around and see little schools of fish. There is good parking, and a good place to eat right next door! It's a good spot for families (unless the waves are up!).

Nice and Clea. For a public beach. Great pier with ladders down into the turquoise water. This beach is fine sandy and has a couple little restaurants right there if you need something. Ample parking and a park right across the street with basketball courts and playground for the kids. Enjoy the wild chickens!
