The aquarium in Key West is less than expected but still an interesting experience. We decided to give it a try because it was pet friendly and we had two decent sized dogs that were getting too hot walking in the summer sun. The staff there was very accommodating by giving the dogs a bowl of water and ice cubes... More

We were one couple in a handful of people going through the aquarium. We got lots of information on sea turtles......tried to feed the stingrays but they seemed to know the staff member and would not take fish from my hand. Tanks are clean , fish well identified in easy to read print.

This was the last place we visited in Key West before boarding back on the ship because it is very close to the port. It was small. But my child loved it! They have a couple of touch tanks and they also have people that tell you about certain exhibits at different times in the day. It wasn't really something... More

With so many attractions to visit in Key West, it may be difficult to decide which to visit first. However, I find this decision fairly simply. I just head straight for the sharks. The Key West Aquarium is a fascinating place! It doesn't have that "polished" feel as in most aquariums. Instead, this aquarium focuses on the animal life within,... More

This is a small aquarium but really cool stuff there. It is by the Earnest Hemmingway house and Duval street so it is easy to get to. The girl was really nice a knew her stuff. You get to touch the sharks and feed the sting rays. Outside there are bigger sharks and turtles that are cool. Take the kids....

Our kids enjoyed. Make sure you listen to the shark talk and have your kids sign up to help feed the nurse sharks. The kids that sign up get to feed bigger bait to the sharks which gets a bigger reaction from the sharks. They do allow other kids to feed at the end, also, but they just get to... More

We bought this with a shipwreck combo ticket. It was really fun for being so small and we probably spent about 45 minutes walking around and looking at stuff. The shark feedings were neat to see.

This is good for children, but most adults would probably find it a disappointment if they have ever been to a real aquarium. It is a series of small tanks and aquariums, not a large aquarium like we we expecting. It has a small variety of fish, some rays, reptiles and a couple of turtles. Okay for small children, but... I was sorry to read that your tour with us did not meet your expectations. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Our aquarium content is restricted to species of fish indigenous to the Florida Keys only. We have staffed the aquarium with guides who give narrated tours of the entire facility on a scheduled basis as... More

A small, exciting, fun place to visit. The staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable. They seem to truly enjoy what they are doing and demonstrate their passion when speaking with the groups. Go before the start of the shark talk so you can sign up to help feed the sharks. It is a great way to get to see some... More

We started our Key West day 2 in Mallory Square, near the Oldtown Trolley stop. We visited the Aquarium here. I thought that it was a little expensive, even after they provided a small discount, but I suppose, it's about right considering the location. I don't think that I'd go again if I had the opportunity, but it was just... More
