What a rip-off ! This place was built in the thirties and probably hasn't had any improvements since then. The exhibits are very uninteresting as is the tour and the "shark feeding". P A T H E T I C is the only word that comes to mind.

I love sea creatures and we went to this Aquarium in Key West. The entrance price is not high (I believe we paid $17 each) but it is in bad need of funding or/and cleaning. The inside 'touch' tanks were pretty well kept and clean. The outside ones were so dirty that we couldn't even see the terrapins and little... More

The aquarium is a 30s WPA project and is small compared to most in the country. They do have touch pools that are fun for all. It can be seen in 30-45 minutes and a good bargain. The only thing I didn't like was the indoor nurse shark tank which is just too small for these wonderful creatures. Be warned... More

It is a very small aquarium but I heard it was worth a visit. Make sure you go during feeding time and when there is a guide. Well worth it since you'll get to interact with the sting rays, sharks, and other aquatic life. Your ticket is good for two days but you probably won't need it.

We enjoy the aquarium a few time a year...great, not too crowded. Fun show for kids. Touching icky sea creatures. Manta feeding frenzie, too!

The sea aquarium was a little smaller than I expected for the price. I still enjoyed the tour and see sea creatures

Really nice aquarium and I highly recommend it if you visit Key West. Large open pools with sharks, turtles and all kinds of fish. Kids would love the touch tank.

Inside the aquarium are two wall murals painted by WPA artists during the great depression. This was the first tourist attraction in key west and opened in 1935. It is not huge but a good size and has exhibits out back also. We enjoyed it immensely.
