The kids with us were all under 6 so there was just enough touching and looking for them. They did at least 2 feeding/teaching talks while we were there. Most of the tanks had at least a few fish or other creatures in them but it did pain me to see the nurse sharks in such a small tank. The... More

The aquarium is a bit dated as mentioned by others but the staff were well-informed and ready to explain things. It was a bit warm (i.e., not air-conditioned) but it was previously an outdoor aquarium so it has been kept close to the original. We were permitted re-entry but had other things to do so did not return. We spent... More

The place is small and a little run down. Some of the bigger animals (turtles, sharks, rays) were in cramped conditions. This place is pretty much a tourist trap and the owners seem to have no real concern for the animals. There are so many things to do in Key west that your money will be better spent on other... some of the displays in the wall tanks were very nice, however I felt very bad about seeing the nurse sharks, sea turtles, and other larger creatures in such small cramped areas.

Ok for under kids but a bit of a disappointment for the cost of entry. This place is not air conditioned and the fans offer minimal relief during the summer.

This aquarium is very small but our tickets did allow us to come & go throughout the day. We popped in for a few of the feedings and enjoyed the mini lessons too. Loved the touch tank!

The best part is the touch tank where my son picked up animals we saw snorkeling or at the beach. He loved participating in the Shark feeding. All exhibits are animals found in the Florida Keys. It gets hot inside!!!! But a nice break for kids to have fun

We were tourist and got the package deal, this is one of the smallest aquariums I have been to in the United States. The extra attention you get from the guides is fantastic, we enjoyed this aquarium more than some of the larger ones. The shark feeding is the best. I would go again when down there. Open most days... More

It is the smallest aquarium I've been to, but it was still interesting. It would be good for small children, but is a little expensive considering the size.

Fail! Old run down building with aging tanks and pools. But worse, no air conditioning. It was stuffy and miserable in the building; we tried to take our time to read the information plaques and look at the animals but it was so miserable, we left without seeing it all. We stayed for the 1:00pm shark feeding, which was... Uneventful.... More

I was sorry to read that your tour with us did not meet your expectations. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Our aquarium content is restricted to species of fish indigenous to the Florida Keys only. We are constantly adding to and updating our exhibits, freshening paint and decor where possible. However, we are a historic... More
