I learned so much on this tour! At first I felt rushed into the "next" tour group but then everyone in the group settled & listened to the guide (Diamond Dave - awesome guide). Walking through the house/property of Ernest Hemingway gave me a sense of knowing him on a personal level. I would go back! Loved the cats! more

My boyfriend and I went to the Hemmingway House on our last day in Key West. We had expected to gain a little more knowledge about Hemmingway but received so much more. Our tour guide was animated, well informed, eager to answer questions and very personable. He told many stories and was great with the kids in our tour. No... more

I had great expectations for the house. I think almost every single first timer to Key West has the house on the top of their plans. I would NOT suggest this tour for people who have KIDS who are under age 6-7. That being the attention span and excitement of ones in a younger age range will distract tour guides,... more

Even if you are not a Hemingway fan, this place is still worth the visit. Take the guided tour and you will learn a lot. Also, make sure to look out for the cats with the extra toes. more

This would be a 4 from me and a 5 from my wife were it not for the tour guide. The house and grounds are interesting for thier history and uniqueness. There are many fun stories about Hemingway, his wives, and his life in and out of Key West. There are some artifacts, but not a lot. Hemingway only lived... more

The Perfect Wedding: What a grand and glorious day. From the planning stage to the end was wonderful. The Hemingway house Afternoon Package was perfect. From our arrival all of the preperations had been made to the tee. Our table had been set...the seats arranged...the music was playing........and the Wedding was about to begin. We were treated as though we... more

This was one of the primary attractions we wanted to visit while in Key West, and we were not disappointed. Our tour guide was terrific; very informative, casual and friendly, it was almost as if he had known Hemingway personally. He shared many interesting stories, answered questions well, and made the entire tour fun and interesting. Although this was a... more

We stopped at Hemingway House while in Key West this past February 2008.I wanted to hear a little history, some amusing antedotes about Hemingway and see the famous cats that have lived there for decades. Not having read any Hemingway outside of a college English Lit class, I found the tour funny, enlightening, and made me want to go read... more

We’ve been on countless historic tours over the years and we truly do not understand how anyone could review this attraction poorly. The tour is factual and interesting but not dry; there is just enough humor to keep you smiling but not so much that it diminishes the quality of the information shared. The house and grounds are in fine... more
