Our docent was funny and very knowledgable I am sorry I have forgotten his name. He's a nice older gentleman with a thin build. He made our visit there worthwhile. His stories were very informative and quirky. After being on there tour I learned that Himingway was a very strange man. My favorite part of the tour was the Cat... More

The tour guides are amazing entertainers. We followed a couple of them around and they told such good stories. The house is a piece of history for sure! The cats are everywhere and unique with their extra toes! Hemingway was a character. I left there wanting to read more about him and his stories. It was worth the tour for... More

I visited the museum with my sister during our last vacation to Key West. It was a wonderful experience! The home and gardens are just beautiful. Watching the little cats prowl around the property was the highlight of our day. We decided to just meander around the site ourselves, but the snippets we caught from guided tours sounded super fun... More

The Hemingway home is a must-see. Each time we come to Key West we make it a point to go there and see the wonderful cats. His home is very nice, but our main focus is to visit the unique cats and sit in the garden areas. It is a lovely, quiet sanctuary and we plan to go again.

Short tour of Hemmingway's house while he lived in Key West. The house was preserved very well. Worth a quick tour. Takes about 30-45 min. Not a kid friendly place.

I'm a great admirer of historic homes and architecture, so combine this with learning about one of the most intriguing writers of American history who lived here, it makes for a must-see attraction. We joined a tour which was excellent and informative. Our guide was obviously a fan of Hemingway and very animated and knowledgeable about his life. I just... More

We live in Florida and go to Key West a couple of times a year and are repeat visitors to Hemingway's Home. NOT going there would be like not seeing the White House when you are in Washington, D.C.!! Fun & historic...make this # 1 on your list...

You can't miss the Hemingway house in Key West as there are always a large number of tourists around it, especially when cruise ships are in town (check the harbour or the internet). That means, the guided tour is crowded and the guide cannot accomodate all visitors. So either skip the tour and walk the house on your own or... More

We enjoyed the Hemingway Tour very much. It was the 2nd time I visited. The tour guide this time told funny and interesting antidotes as well as the historical background. The best part of the tour was visiting with the cats. We liked the gift shop also.

Well-informed guides. The tour is short enough to keep your attention but full of interesting information. I appreciate that they allow you to wander and take photos.

Thank you very much Meredith for your excellent 4-star review! We are glad to hear that you found our tour guides to be well informed. We always welcome our guests to roam the 1-acre of lush gardens, visit with some six-toed cats and shop the book store after taking the guided tour. It is great to see our fellow Floridians... More
