My favorite was seeing the first swimming pool in Key West and learning what it took to put the pool in. Unreal. The staff... More

Loved listening to the guides and finding out about the real Hemmingway. The house is fabulous with plenty of personal artifacts. Walking around on a sultry summer day gave it a sense of what life may have been like, Well worth a trip.

The home and grounds are well preserved and beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful and offer guided tours. The six toed cats that are descedants of Hemingway's cat are everywhere and very entertaining and friendly.

We took the tour around and in the house. Nice with all the funny stories and anekdotes about Hemmingway - I don't think it is worth going there without taking the tour. Fun to see all the cats.

Whether you are a fan or not, it's worth it. If you are familiar with Hemingway's work then the tour here will highlight the inspiration behind the story. Either way though it was a very cool tour and an amazing house, many great facts about this place will amaze you.

It was my third visit to this venerable old house, steeped in history. We had a very informative guide who gave us a wonderful background on Hemingway and his tempestuous life! It was very hot that day so we did not spend extra time, but overall it is a wonderful piece of history to visit and should not be missed!... More
