This is a great place with original furniture, etc, preserved, and you can take all the photos you want. It's a very unusual place where a very unusual writer (and man) lived with his second wife. You can join in a guided tour, stay as long as you wish, and just enjoy. It's a superb place, I repeat. Join that... More

The Hemingway House is a must see. Jump on the tour and learn a little bit more about Hemingway, the house, and Key West. The 6 toed cats are also very friendly.

This place accepts cash only (Adults $13, Child $6). The entrance fee also includes a 45 minute guided tour if you wish to wait. (Tour Guide accepts gratuities.) The wait is worth it to learn about the writer and his many wives. I was unaware Hemingway was a handsome man. Most of us think of the gray, bearded old man.... More

The house was absolutely amazing, it was beautiful and so well kept in its original form. Cody, our guide, knew so much about Hemingway and you could tell he genuinely cared about what he was talking about which was amazing!! Also Joe B was so kind telling my cat obsessed friends all about the cats, that I think we had... More

Learned a lot about Hemingway, his life, his literary works, and about Key West. The tour is fine but somewhat it depends upon which guide you get, and how busy it is...

The first time we visited, a couple of years ago, we went around with one of the tours with a guide. This time around, we started out with a tour but left to continue the visit at our own pace and have more time to enjoy the garden and meet a lot of the Hemiway's cats! Lovely house and interesting... More

You can take a guided tour or do a self tour. If taking the guided tour, there is time afterward to wander around the grounds on your own. Very interesting and informative. I enjoyed the history. My wife enjoyed the cats.
