The house is interesting to see but the tour is awful - they spend all their time telling you about the cats and very little about Hemingway!

I am sorry that I cannot remember the guides name as he was what brought this visit to life. Full of anecdotes about Hemingway and his various wives it made for a truly very enjoyable visit. The visit finished for us by the pool in the grounds. If the guide doesn't mention it so ask about the 1c coin! Try... More

If you're a cat lover or a Hemingway lover (we're both). You've got to go here. Cats rule with their six toes. Beautiful gardens. The kids running the tours have plenty of great Hemingway stories. Tragic and eventful. What a rich life he lived! Great place to spend a couple of hours.

Lots of cats running around. The property is an acre, which is much larger than I expected. It's just a really nice place to visit. interesting plants, facts, house. $10 to get in for adults. I thought it was worth it.

The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum bring you back to the early 20th century when Key West was bustling with a different vibe. The home captures wonderful artwork and photos of Hemingway, along with other artifacts. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the cats wondering the grounds are an attraction among themselves. The price of admission is reasonable, and it... More

Great way to learn about the man and get a feel for life in Key West during that time period. Read Hemingway's Girl before you visit and the whole story will come to life as you stroll the grounds.

Beautiful home and grounds. Worth a walk through. Definitely do the guided tour if you go to learn more. That being said, on a budget, we probably would have chosen to go somewhere else if we could do it again.

Guided tours plus you can walk around yourself and look at he rich history of Ernest Hemmingway. Recommend the tour first, then take some time and slowly walk around and see and read about this very interesting man in our history.

Our guided tour of Ernest Hemingway's Home in Key West was enlightening and enjoyable. The stories of Hem and his family through our guide, the displayed photos, the polydactyl cats, and the grounds gave you a great sense of the man and all he did and accomplished during the years he spent in Key West. My husband and I thoroughly... More
