Liked the option of guided tour or tour yourself.Would be neat place for private wedding or party. Would be pricey though. Seems to be kept up nicely.

I loved the cats. The tour guide was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and was very witty. He was able to answer all of our questions. We really enjoyed the tour and was able to walk around on our own too!

Went there two days in a row on my vacation to Key West. We took the tour and it was great, and the guide was wonderful -- he even gave us a little "extra" tour after and showed us where some of the cats hang out during the day, away from the people and crowds. I think I could sit... More

We visited the Ernest Hemingway Home and enjoyed our experience. It was clearly a very popular stop, so we went earlier in the day before it got too crowded. You are free to walk around the home, or take a guided tour which is very informative. The home also houses the decendents of Hemingway's pet cats, and they roam around... More

This is both a guided and self guided tour. The guides are knowledgeable and brought the place alive. If you are a fan of Hemmingway I am sure you will love it. We are not great fans but the visit was still very worthwhile.

The grounds are historic. The tour guide provided was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. All questions presented were answered with additional facts. The cats were everywhere but maintained a certain distance. The house was true Key West and the stories told made one relive the times he was there andf offered insight to his character.

We love cats and enjoyed walking through the house and hearing the docents tell all the stories of Hemingway and his life in KW. The best part was enjoying all the cats who live there and and feel at home. Many of them polydactyl and all of them descendents of Hemingway's cat.

Really excellent museum (doesn't feel like one though) the $13 entry got you a guided tour. Our guide Cody was excellent, he had a great natural knowledge, nothing forced about it, open to questions and made it entertaining yet his enthusiasm was catching, loved him (and the cats). The house was breathtaking and so interesting with all its history. Don't... More
