We enjoyed touring the Hemingway House and hearing the history about it. (You can take a guided tour or just browse about on your own.) Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared some funny stories about Hemingway's time here at Key West. Of course, no tour would be complete without petting some of the six-toed cats that have the... More

My friends and I toured the Hemingway House last week and couldn't have had a better time. Joe B, our tour guide, did a fantastic job of showing us the inside of the house and telling us about the life of the great writer Ernest Hemingway. Joe made the tour entertaining with jokes, but he never dragged on too long... More

Great tour, informative with a good guide. House is beautiful, as are the gardens - and the cats too.

Highly recommend. Lovely preserved home and the cats are the stars! Short wait and toured on our own though I would probably do the guided tour again to get more history.

Full disclaimer - I am a Hemingway fan, I have been to his beautifully restored and maintained home in Cuba several times, I love history, and I want to like this place. I rated this as "Very Good" because I learned more about Hemingway and his time in this home but the experience was not very good. We chose to... More
