Tour guides are well informed and offer a look back at the life of Ernest Hemingway. Loved all the cats running around and lounging on the furniture!

If you have any interest in Hemingway or five and six toed cats, put this on your list of things to do. I would not tour the house without taking advantage of the guide, so much information. I felt like I really knew who Hemingway was and headed to Pepe's for breakfast and his other "party" spots after for an... More

Loved the cats and the history. We had an excellent tour guide named Stan who was very knowledgeable about Key West and the Hemmingway history. Very enjoyable.

Great tour, very interesting to learn about this author. Great old house. The cats were a highlight for us, especially the three toed one. Neat to hear the story about the penny near the pool.

Tour was not too long for my 15 year old to enjoy as well as I did, and the guide did an excellent job. My daughter especially enjoyed all of the cats!

I am glad I paid for this tour. It supported a great part of both Key West and American histories. The house, pool and surrounding properties were maintained close to their original condition from Hemingway's days and gave a glimpse of what KW was like then, not to mention his stimulus in his most prolific writing days. Our guide, Cody,... More

Historical home of Ernest Hemingway - Great Author. You can look around or take a guided tour. The home is lovely and has a porch all around up and down. the True Caretakers of this house are the Six Toed Cats and they are everywhere. Nice Tiffany Lamp in the dining room and gorgous picasso cat sculpture in the upstairs... More

He just rushed us through so he could get on to the next group. Didn't learn very much about Hemingway himself.

We enjoyed our visit here, which I would say was divided into four parts: the tour of the house, the tour of the grounds, our own exploration of the grounds, and the bookstore. The tour guide we had was an entertaining storyteller and obviously admires Hemingway and cares for the cats. He really made the experience for us, in spite... More
