I love to visit this museum. Of course after doing a Ghost Tour and leaning about Robert the Doll, we all had to come visit him. Now I go every time I come to Key West to visit family I make a stop here. The museum has all sorts of exhibits about the Keys, Cuba, and hauntings. There is also... More

We went to this location as a part of a Ghost Tour. So, we probably didn't see the whole exhibition. But what we did see and hear about was probably enough. There is alot of history here but also Robert "the doll". Make sure to visit him and you will see why I say it is creepy.

We learned a lot from the staff, but only because we told him we were interested in the Civil War history (most come to see Robert the Doll)

The East Martello Museum and Gallery has some great displays and information about the history of Key West. The thing that drew me to it, though, is that it is the current home of Robert the haunted doll. I first heard of him when I participated in a walking ghost tour of Key West while on a cruise ship shore... More

After watching a show about "Robert" the doll on tv, my teenage son wanted to see him in person. Naturally, we asked to take his picture, and he let us! lol….. There's a lot of history in this museum. Not only about the why it was built but also about the Cubans who risk their lives to come to America.... More

This fort is worth one visit, especially if you are a Florida history buff. Lot's to learn about the early days in Key West and the role locals played in the military since the Spanish/American war. Interesting construction and learning about the conditions early soldiers lived in, plus strange histories of some of Key West's interesting legends are explained.

This was a nice quiet change from the other attractions in the Duval St area. Admission is reasonable especially if you have students in your group (discount with student ID). Self-guided tour so you go at your own pace. Robert was creepy. We did take his picture after asking his permission. The view from the tower is beautiful. Many interesting... More

This is a nice fort and museum. We wanted to see Robbie the doll because he has been featured in several cable programs. An ugly doll to say the least. There are many interesting artifacts within the fort. I strongly recommend this museum when you visit Key West.

Interesting fort that houses many artifacts of the Keys. You'll see the forts 8 foot thick walls AND meet Robert the doll (I don't want to give that part away). It's a self-guided, walking tour. It's open 9:30 to 4:30 everyday (except Christmas). There is an admission fee to enter the fort - Adults $9, kids 6 and up $6,... More
