Not like you have a choice, but unless you brought your boat this is a pretty neat way to travel. Cool seeing the old bridge next to the new one and feeling like you are on the water. Unexpected highlight of the time in the keys

Yes, its a trip that most say only do once in your lifetime. But, I happen to enjoy it and it never bothers me, except to Memorial Day Monday traffic.......lol!

After many trips to the Keys, it is still exciting to drive down the overseas highway surrounded by the ocean and gulf. There is so much history in the Keys and the new and old bridge are such a big part of it. The days are fresh and clean and the sunsets are beautiful!

Ts like driving to the carribean. After islamorada the island hopping is beautiful. Make sure to pull off and enjoy the views. Lots of radar so obey the speed limit.

The Overseas Highway was on my bucket list. Not sure what I was expecting, but like another reviewer mentioned it was truly one of the longest and boring rides ever.

The 2 1/2 hour drive from Key Largo is one of the prettiest drives in the country. Lots of charm and ocean beauty along the way.

We drove down from Miami and the green waters were stunning. It's almost worth the drive down just to see. There were a lot of photo opportunities.

This has to be one of the longest, most boring drives in America. It is right up there with a drive across Kansas. While I love the ocean, it is possible to get too much of it when seen through a car window. The speed mentioned is the one you will be tempted to drive to make as painless as... More

The Atlantic on one side the Gulf on the other....the water is as inviting as anywhere in the islands 7 mile bridge is really impressive....bring a picnic lunch, as there's plenty of places to stop and just sit under a shade tree (bring your own beach chairs) Annie's beach is one of our favorites...it's on the Atlantic side The Islamorada... Hired a car in Miami and drove Highway 1 to Key West .Great drive ,getting out of Miami was a little tricky , but the sat nav took care of that.Once on the highway you cross the ocean passing small keys and stretches of ocean.Seven mile bridge is one of the high points , the new bridge running parallel to...
