It is interesting for a first 2-3 bridges. Than it gets boring because you just want to get to Key West and there is bridge after bridge, after bridge.

110 miles of outstanding beauty. Sunrises and sunsets over the water. It is a treasure unlike any other. I could never tire of this beauty. My goal is to drive the whole 110 miles twice every year.

We rented a car upon arrive for a week stay in K.W. in order to drive up the Keys for a stop as some old haunts. The trip up to Key Largo and back is 7-10 hours depending on time spent a stops along the way. For us lunch at Mrs. Macs, shopping at the Rain Barrel Artisian Village (look... More

I have been wanting todrive through the Keys for a long time. I was disappointed. Although there are spots where the water is very pretty, I expected for the Key islands to be nicer. There really is not much there. Unless you are there for water sports, there really is just not much there.

We flew into Fort Lauderdale, rented a convertible and were ready for the beautiful drive. We knew not to expect much until after Key Largo but even then most of the great views were covered by trees and small town businesses on both sides of the road. The constant change of speed limits made for a very long drive. We... More

The water colors are magnificent when driving this long road from Miami to Key West. There are lots of places to stop and see and things to do along the way...best is a picnic lunch at a roadside park so you can enjoy the sun, sand, water and seabreeze. Don't forget to hollar "HARRRRRRRRRRYYYY" when you drive by the broken... More

Riding a convertible - the trip to Key West was amazing. The view you get is unforgettable and driving on this road is really an attraction by itself. Just make sure you cover yourself or apply enough sun protection as the rays are really strong! A must see when in Florida

Typically when we head to the keys flights into FLL or MIA are significantly cheaper thank flying into EYW. The first time we headed down there, we were dreading the 2+ hour drive to our destination. However, we were pleasantly surprised at how easy and beautiful the drive was. Most of the way you are surrounded by blue water on... More
