Bike ride through the park

easy access from foot or bike rental, definately suggest renting a bike for a day or two. Great view of the coast guard boat and you can get pretty close to cruise ships.

We visited Fort Zachary Taylor really just for the beach. There is not that much to see concerning the fort but the views from the top are great! In all fairness we did not go on the Ranger guided tour so if we had, perhaps the fort would have been more interesting. But having seen other Southern US forts, this... More

Great beach for sunning and snorkeling. Pine trees provide shade and there's a concession stand and shower on premises. It's a hike if you're walking, but an easy bike ride, or drive and park.

Definitely worth the time to investigate. Very reasonably priced. My son and I were on bikes so it was only $5 to get in. Nice preservation of history

It's history is long and interesting, and the descriptions of operations and living conditions by the guide annex flesh to the bricks and moarter.

There is not much information at the fort tour, but the park is a nice area for walking. The beach is rocky, but it has a great view of the sunset and boat traffic.

The tour of the fort in a state park is a little disappointing. A rather small fort to start with, and the self-guiding tour was a single fan folded page with limited info. A good place for history buffs to have visited but not much in terms of educational value. Much of the Moyer interesting areas are closed for safety... More

This is a really cool place, but don't try to walk here - it is VERY long. Get a cab then walk around for a while. Nice beach, but very rocky.

The water is beautiful and the beach is nice except when you try to go in the water.. Very rocky bottom. Boulders! They do rent lounge chairs for you to lay on. I would recommend water shoes
