Quiet park

Very small park, close to the keywest navy station. Very quiet and no crowd in the area.

Visisted mainly for the snorkeling and the close vicinity to our condo. First rate park with food, drinks , beer, a place to rent chairs and umbrellas, and a fairly decent sand and rock beach. Plenty of shade trees and a good place to rinse off with fresh water. My wife and I saw a big school of Tarpon which... More

We have been to Key West at least 20 times and never knew about the beaches at the fort! For a small per person fee you can stay all day until dusk. Our skin can't take all that sun, so we stayed in the shade of the palms and evergreens at the edge of the beach and had a wonderful... More

I read reviews and don't take it as a tip..it's a must...bring water shoes!!! The waves were crashy, the beach was ok. What I liked was the photo opportunities. My kids thought it was the worst beach we went to on our vacation. The fort was ok; it gave a lot of nice views of the water. It was nice... More

My favorite place on the island. Wear surf shoes as the beaches are rocky but by far these are the best beaches on the island.

The beach is pretty quiet. The water was the perfect temperature. The sand is rocky and I would suggest wearing water shoes.

...but this is probably the best beach in Key West. Wear water shoes. Seaweed washes in when the wind is blowing from the southeast, and that's a negative.

I go to a lot of beaches all over the Caribbean and Florida so I know beaches. It is not big, but it is so beautiful. The snorkeling is great. You feel like you are on a beach in the Caribbean, not Florida. Don't miss it.

Had a great time at the park starting the day with yoga on the beach and ending with a snorkel around beautiful rock formations! We had the best time exploring the wildlife - saw, grouper, puffer fish, rainbow, parrot fish, snapper, a cobia, tarpon, and barracudas. Totally awesome.
