The park is a fun day. It only costs a couple of dollars to get into the park and you can stay busy for the entire day. The fort is fun to tour and the beach is as well. Just be careful on the beach, there are parts that are pretty rocky. However, water shoes will work or once you... More

Had a great time. Can rent chairs and snorkel equipment. Gentle, clear, and clean water. Snack bar by beach. Clean bathrooms. Family wanted to go back but we didn't have enough time.

The tour was an enlightening 45 minutes of learning about not only the fort, but about the history of Key West. I will definitely go again. Also it is great that the park has a fantastic beach to soak up the sun and float in the water before and/or after you learn something

The fort is a must see. We had fund going through it. We had just the night before went on the ghosts and gravestones tour and this made it more scary. When we went we was walking through the fort and saw a like corridor way in the back that was dark and we decided to explore. We pulled out... More

I don't want to say too many wonderful things as this is a hidden gem away from the craziness of Duval St. Spent an entire day here and had everything you'd need. The fort is worth a visit...the self guided tour is fine. Water is 80 degrees now. Beautiful and clean.

Very interesting to get a taste for the history of the southeastern coastal defenses established in the 1800's. Fort Zack is representative of lots of contemporary installations. The views are worth it alone.

The swimming area is one of the best in Key West. There are rock jetties to minimize riptides, so it's great for swimming or snorkeling. Make sure you have aqua socks or some footwear to walk over the large pebbles to get to the beautiful water. Also. there's a concession that rents beach chairs and umbrellas ($30 for 2 chairs... Beautiful beach and nice Fort Zachery Taylor to explore. They had a snack bar that served burger, hotdogs, ice cream, beer, etc... Nice day excursion. You have to pay to enter the park. Bicycles were $2.50 a person.

Such a pure and nature beach and surroundings. It is a little piece of paradise "tucked away" from the central hub of Key West. Kinda hard to find because it is "tucked away behind the Truman Annex. The first five years we visited Key West we didn't even know it existed. We walked from the Bed & Breakfast we were... More

After traveling to Key West every year, we finally discovered Fort Zachary Taylor a couple years ago. Now we visit every year. It is by far the best beach on the island with some great snorkeling. The whole park is great. We love walking the trails, visiting the fort and of course hanging out at the beach.
