It was a beautiful way to end the day - especially with some ocean breezes cooling the heat down. I am not understanding some of the complaints re: crowds. It's a public square in a popular tourist area - the performers/artists are there for their livelihood. Crowds are part of the package. Thoroughly enjoyed the quirky entertainers and didn't mind... The performers are many times rude and demanding. The vendors, on the other hand, are pleasant and appear to enjoy interacting with visitors.

What an amazing place. We were told to get there for 6pm, and we were glad we did. Musicians, dancers, acrobats, all kinds of entertainment. There are small stalls that sell drinks, Jewellery, art etc. We got a yummy Mojito, and sat and watched the sunset, at 7.30pm. It was so relaxing and picturesque. After the entertainers carry on until... More

Mallory Square is a fun place to watch the sun set and see some talented street performers. The cruise ships dock here so its really crowded when they debark bit its worth a one time visit to say you've been there, done that.

So much fun walking around Mallory Square. The street entertainers were fun to watch. Different things to shop for and the sunset was beautiful. A must-see!!

Enjoyable to watch the sunset from here. Get there early and enjoy the acts of the different street vendors. Sunset will vary each day depending on other things, but fun most of the time.

....without a sunset visit to Mallory Square. We enjoyed the street performers and recommend staking out a viewing spot about an hour before sunset. We chose to sit atop the Bistro 245 at the Westin, which offers a spectacular vantage point. However, we didn't dine here due to the numerous other choices and the pricey menu.

If you don't go to Mallory Square you will miss the best part of being in Key West. Great sunsets and local performers. It is free but we tipped one of the local artists who performed using a stack of five chairs while juggling. Quite entertaining.

You have to stop here in Key West, especially for the sunset. Lots of vendors, street performers, interesting vibe from the crowds. Good shopping nearby. And of course the sunsets. We visited here twice, and the crowd was lining up for sunset 45 to an hour ahead. I have heard that during less busy tourist times, the crowds are not... More
