It was recommended to us that we had to go to Mallory Square to truly experience a Key West sunset and I am so glad that we went! The entire area was full of outstanding street performers, artisans, food vendors, as well as bar carts that readily made your favorite drinks! It was the perfect location to celebrate the sunset!... It is a spectacular place for viewing the spectacular Key West sunset. The entertainment is like a carnival -- fire eaters and jugglers and gymnasts. And there are booths with souvenirs and bits of food. Festive sideshow atmosphere. A margarita makes it not annoying.

After reading about Mallory Square and all the happenings at sunset I was left a little deflated. The entertainers seemed to be much the same and the sunset wasn't as spectacular as I expected. We went prepared and sat on the wall to wait. As sunset time approached we found people came to sit in front of us on the... More

everyone gathers to see the sunset which, in my opinion, cannot hold up against a Lake Huron sunset. Also crowded at dusk and there are street performers like any other large city attraction. It's fun to people watch and walk through the shops nearby but once you have gone to Mallory square, I don't think it's worth returning. very overhyped and overated.

An excellent place to see Street performers as well as "people-watching" the crowd, especially at sunset!

Mallory Square for sunset is a must when visiting Key West. Every evening street performers delight crowds with jugglers, acrobats, and even trained cats. There are lots of shops and restaurants too. Parking is expensive is you can find it. During our visit it was hard to drive there because of construction on Front Street. The sunset the night we... More

Get there early if you want a good spot to see the battle. Otherwise you just see the tops of peoples heads and hear the booms of the cannons.

every evening local performers and artists gather to present their passion. We met the coconut man and had fresh coconut water. It was great chatting with him while he wielded his machete and opened the coconuts.

It is a fun place at the sunset hour. People flock here to view the sunset and see the acrobats, jugglers and other street performers. Tip...go early and get a seat at the waterfront restaurant and wait until sunset before leaving.
