We got tickets to this exhibit along with the conch tour train. The actor as seem passionate about what they do. They have a decent amount to see but I would have liked to have a little more to see it did not take long to go through the museum. The tower up top was closed during our visit so... More

Actors get you started on the tour of the museum, sharing info on the history of Key West in mostly an interesting and entertaining way. It's a bit corny, but overall effective. After the first 20 minutes, you're left on your own to check out plenty of artifacts and watch a few short videos. As stated in other reviews, yes... More

The smell inside is salt- the actors who give the tour are really good and very interesting. You can walk to the top of the tower and see the town.

Upon entering the museum we were greeted by a terrible odor. Turns out it's because it used to be a water cistern. The actors in this place were well rehearsed and it was somewhat interesting. The exhibits were kind of cool and the photos were interesting. It is kind of campy and I had greater expectations going in, but it was... More

The guided explanations of the processes, the relics from shipwrecks and the impact of shipwreck salvage on the growth and development of Key West was fascinating. There are discount tickets available for this attraction.

I took my 19 month daughter Holly to visit this attraction! We did not have a good time we had a ball! The staff is very inviting and you feel that you have stepped back in true Key West time! Historically accurate - excellent ! Far and away the best attraction to learn about Key West past! Can not wait... More

Very interesting. Character actors are the guides, but you do get to walk thru on your own as well. Small and dimly lit, but informative. Never knew there were so many ship wrecks near Key West.

I always love to hear the history of a location when on vacation. You will really enjoy this attraction if you also love history. Very well presented, and an added bonus is the tower you can walk to the top off - not to hard a walk, which gives a great view of the city.

We stopped at the Shipwreck Museum which is at the beginning of Whitehead St. We enjoyed it. It is small, but had some nice stuff and a guide who is dressed in character as Asa Tift (builder and original owner of the Hemingway mansion) who was in the shipwreck salvage business. If the kids/adults aren't interested in the museum, I... More

Perfect place to bring the kids or anyone for that matter. Two actors portray the industry and then it's a self guided tour. Be sure to watch the documentary on the lower floor.
