We enjoyed our tour, but we were disappointed that the tower was not open. Looks like it would have been a great view from up there.

The museum was very well decorated, and the first part of the tour that includes a tour guide that tells you about different shipwrecks was funny and interesting. It's amazing how many ships sunk and left behind treasure. The museum includes a lot of samples from real shipwecks, and has a tower at the top you can climb for a... More

You can visit this small museum in about 60-90 minutes. At the beginning, actors give the museum context in a 15-20 minute welcome presentation. The actors are good. Then you're on your own to explore two levels of items recovered from shipwrecks. There is also a tower you can climb to the top of for a good view of Key... More

Ticket price was quite high for what you get, the guided tour didn't really seem long enough and only covered a very tiny portion of the history which was a shame. Didn't appreciate the opening of the tour as you had to stand outside (it was mid day and extremely hot) so when I chose to keep seated in the... More

The artifacts in the Shipwreck Museum along with the history provided by museum characters created an exceptional, and also educational, experience. Climbing the tower was well worth the effort to reach the top; views were awesome. This museum is a "must-see."

I thought the price was a little high but overall it was worth it. In addition to learning about the wrecker industry in Key West, you can also go up the Wrecker Tower for great views of the Key.

Buying a ticket for the museum I thought there will be a few old pieces recovered from sunken ships and a lot of plastic copies. In fact, almost everything in this museum is genuine - from 30kg silver pieces to golden coins. You can also learn a lot about history of colonial America from the guided tour. Plus the view... More

They guide starts you off by giving you a little history lesson in how KW used to be, then turns you loose to walk around on your own. It was interesting to learn and they have some good exhibits to look at. You can also climb the tower to get the best view of KW. We had fun and it... More
