Ended up here while taking the trolley tour. Interesting info if you are interested in shipwrecks, and Key West history. Helped fill in some of the historical gaps in some of the other tours.

Traveled with Gate1 Excursions on a guided tour Dec 2014. Very well organized, super value for the price and I would gladly travel with them again!

A must for key west. You learn the true history of key west and ship wrecking. Also there is an awesome tower where you can take phenomenal pictures of the town and your family.

Seriously, nice view of key West from the tower. Blow the conch shell horns as you go up the tower - you can't think about where it's been ;) Pick up $20,000 worth of silver bar. Read a lot of signs and see a lot of trinkets.

Though it's a very small museum, this place definitely gives you a sense of history on the island and provides some exquisite samples of treasure and lifestyle. I would recommend it, especially if you have younger children who may be entranced with the idea of buried treasure and shipwrecks, but be sure to purchase it with one of their packages... More

I came here a bit late, and they wore about to close. Still, they gave me full access (except the tower that was closed this day), and a personal 1 on 1 tour of the museum, by the owner himself! Talk about great service!!! This is by far the most interesting museum I have ever been too and they have... More

In my opinion, this is the real history of Key West. I bought a book about the history of Key West, as I usually do when I go to a new place. It turns out, it's spent most of the last 100 years trying valiantly to become a tourist attraction. That was pretty disappointing to me. However, the wrecking history... More

We got tickets to this exhibit along with the conch tour train. The actor as seem passionate about what they do. They have a decent amount to see but I would have liked to have a little more to see it did not take long to go through the museum. The tower up top was closed during our visit so... More
