was in town off a cruise. My kids seemed to enjoy it. Lot of reading though so it may bore others. There is a short movie and a great view from the top. I bought a package with the little white house.

Must go there, great overview of the history of Key West and the fortunes made there, lots of cool exhibits and the tower gives an amazing view over Key West.

and crazy actors to bring it to life. the actors seemed to know their script. Be sure to climb the tower to take pictures from it. you can lift a 65 pound bar of silver. the place inside is rather dark. they could light it a little better I think. if electricity is too expensive, there is always the sun.

This is a fun place to check out in Mallory Square. As soon as you buy your tickets, you are greeted and entertained by a girl and a guy in period costumes. They sort of re-enact old Pirate times as they get ready to auction off their " loot " from the shipwrecks. Then you are given a lot of... More

The guides were dressed in era costumes and were very knowledgeable. Most of the museum is self guided where you take take all the time you want with each display. Be sure to go to the top of the tower for the best views of the city and port.

I truly enjoyed my visit to the Key West Shipwreck Museum. Although the exhibits inside were great too - the cast made the experience come to life. It was a wonderful way to be taken back to a time when Key west was a hustling place with riches to be made. I also really enjoyed the climb to thew top... More

We spent a day exploring Key West and came across the Shipwreck Museum right across from the Aquarium. The tour is quite interesting, especially at the beginning where the employees are role-playing in period dress. The focus is on the salvage of ships run aground on the reefs and the money that could be made from this process. The stories... More

Very cool experience - a must to do while in Key West. Lots of historical facts, plus you get to touch a huge block of silver. The museum also has a tower where you can climb and see all of Key West. Definite photo opportunity. I've taken the tour twice and each tour had different/new content - learned something I... More

An interesting stop on our tour of Key West! The history of salvaging in the Keys was very interesting and informative. The museum was very well done as were the displays. Climb the tower to see a birds' eye view of Key West!
