More than a kayaking trip; we offer an Eco-Tour Experience! Glide across warm, crystal clear water only inches deep to the shelter of mysterious mangrove islands. Our guides are happy to explain this ecosystem's uniqueness in plants, marine life, birds and natural history.Let us catch marine animals only an expert could find for you to handle and photograph. Learn about egrets, herons and other birds roosting only feet away or prying the flats for food. Geared for any level of paddler, you won’t have to go far to see the hidden beauty that so many have called serene, enchanting, romantic and captivating. We take a maximum of 10 people per guide for a personal experience. « less

This was an excellent excursion! Blue Planet really cares about the environment and wants to share the beauty of KW with visitors. They came and picked us up from our hotel and brought us to their facility, so there was no issue with parking or finding the place. I had never been in a kayak before, but they made the... More

I went on the "Boca Chica" morning tour with my husband and eight year old twin boys. This was my boys' favorite activity in Key West (along with our catamaran trip), and except for a few moments of struggle, it was one of my favorite experiences here, too! I've never kayaked before, so I was a bit hesitant about manning... More

This was our favorite attraction we went to in Key West. The guide knew where to look for sea creatures and we were amazed at the animals that he brought to the surface and at his knowledge of sea life. Being on the water at that level gives you an understanding of the Keys you will not get on Duvall... More

A wonderful surprise and adventure! We spent about 3 1/2 hours on the water with one other couple and enjoyed every minute. We journeyed through the Boca Chica area across moving water channels, still flats, and through mangrove islands to find several of nature's squishiest critters. Spotted Sea Hare, Upside-down Jellyfish, Urchin, Barracuda, Sea Cucumber, Queen Conch, and Anemone all... More

Very informative, fun time on the water with James. My husband and I along with another couple was guided thru the mangroves, taken to bird island and back across the bay on a very informative fun kayaking eco-tour. We say many small creatures we would never had seen on our own. Along with seeing them we actually go to touch... More

We booked this trip based on the reviews from other travelers...and were not let down! James was our guide and it was incredible what he was able to find out there in the shallow water. We would never have found these sea creatures on our own...and being able to hold them just added to the experience! Really a fantastic adventure... More

This tour was fantastic! We took the Moonlight Kayak tour. There were 6 of us all together. James was our guide. First we were picked up at our B&B, scooped up the other family and headed over the bridge to a set of warehouses. At the beginning we were a little worried because James didn't seem to have much of... More

What a treat to get away and lean something about the water that surrounds the Keys. We saw what was on the roots of the mangroves, and what a conch looked like when it was alive. Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny, but he seemed frustrated that there was not more to show us at the high/outgoing tide (not... More

Always enjoy kayaking, a nice retreat from the bustle of Key West. We were in a group that included an older couple of "experienced paddlers" who had trouble manuvering in the tight mangroves. This held the group up and made it hard to hear Chad, our leader. He was knowledgable but a bit prickly. Got impatient at times before clarifying... More

The Blue Planet kayak tour is a nice diversion from the hustle and bustle of downtown Key West and all the jet ski tours, sunset drinking tours, shops, bars and such. The staff are excellent and knowledgeable, the paddling is easy even for beginners and you go right into the mangroves. Your guide will shwo you small sea creatures you'd... More
