Blue Planet Kayak invites you to escape to the seclusion of our tropical “backcountry” locales -- only accessible by kayak. More than a kayaking trip; we offer an Eco-Tour Experience! Glide across warm, crystal clear water only inches deep to the shelter of mysterious mangrove islands. Our guides are happy to explain this ecosystem's uniqueness in plants, marine life, birds and natural history.Let us catch marine animals only an expert could find for you to handle and photograph. Learn about egrets, herons and other birds roosting only feet away or prying the flats for food. Geared for any level of paddler, you won’t have to go far to see the hidden beauty that so many have called serene, enchanting, romantic and captivating. We take a maximum of 10 people per guide for a personal experience.

On the advice of a friend, we signed up for the 2.5 hour mangrove swamp tour, and had a great time! The paddling pace was easy, and the tour guide, Andy, kept us entertained by netting sea creatures for us to look at and handle. I would do this again!

This review is based on a family with 2 boys 6 & 8 years old. We rented two double kayaks and had a great start to our vacation. Kayaking through the mangrove tunnels was an amazing experience. It is worth kayaking to the sand bar. Very peaceful with no crowds. Unbelievable view of the sun coming down! Your arms will... More

Overall, a very good experience. We met Katie the tour guide off-site and followed her to Stock Island. Their "office" is in a run-down area where a dog from a local business relieved itself on the dock. But once we left the dock, the tour was a lot of fun. We toured the mangroves and open waters. Katie did her... More

The sunset kayak trip was a good experience - Katie is a great guide. Good for novices. They picked us up from hotel near Duval street. Bioluminescent plankton were cool to see - and it's always fun to be out on the water under the stars.

We really enjoyed our sunset cruise on February 17th. Katie, our guide was very patient with our group, none of which kayaked before. We saw more ocean-life than we expected and Katie made sure each of us saw and/or held each creature she brought out of the water for us! It was relaxing and educational; of course you can't beat... We've done the Boca Chica tour the last three years and it is great. The guides are entertaining and comfortable with small kids. Each year we've seen an amazing array of wildlife. Plan on doing the night tour next.

When we arrived in Key West by ferry, this tour was recommended to us. Normally, I review tours before going on them, but the man at the ferry dock said this company was owned by a friend of his and was a good tour. The man groves sell themselves, but the rest of the tour left us disappointed. The location... More

We took an afternoon kayak tour of the Boca Chica Channel with Sarah. It was fun and interesting. Sarah scooped several creatures from the shallow waters and allowed us to see them up close and even hold a few of the harmless ones. We saw a crab, a jellyfish, 2 different sea stars, several conchs & a slug looking sea... More
