Description: Blue Planet Kayak invites you to escape to the seclusion of our tropical...
Blue Planet Kayak invites you to escape to the seclusion of our tropical “backcountry” locales -- only accessible by kayak. More than a kayaking trip; we offer an Eco-Tour Experience! Glide across warm, crystal clear water only inches deep to the shelter of mysterious mangrove islands. Our guides are happy to explain this ecosystem's uniqueness in plants, marine life, birds and natural history.Let us catch marine animals only an expert could find for you to handle and photograph. Learn about egrets, herons and other birds roosting only feet away or prying the flats for food. Geared for any level of paddler, you won’t have to go far to see the hidden beauty that so many have called serene, enchanting, romantic and captivating. We take a maximum of 10 people per guide for a personal experience.

We were s last minute addition to the evening excursion lead by Sarah last night. Not only were they accommodating, but the tour was beyond our expectations because she was so knowledgable. Our three teenage sons had a blast, as did we. Can't recommend it enough!

Kayaking through the mangroves in the evening was a highlight of my time in Key West. There was a nice balance of daylight at the beginning of the tour to see everything and after dark touring for a very different and unique experience. I will be doing this again when I am back in Key West

If you are going to kayak in Key West, you must do the sunset-starlight tour from Blue Planet. James, our guide, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable with a good eye. We saw so many wonderful creatures, starting with manatees and ending with bioluminescent plankton-starlight under the water. Even without seeing anything cool, the tour would have been worth it: kayaking past... More

This is a MUST-DO. I hadn't thought about doing a nighttime kayak when we planned our trip to Key West, but after seeing it on a brochure once we were there, it seemed like a very unique experience. The first hour or so of the tour was during daylight and we watched the sunset over the water. We paddled through... More

Teen daughter and I rented a kayak...easy, no hassle rental...toured the mangroves on our own for hours. Dropped anchor on sandy beach, waded in warm water, had lunch, awesome! Had some difficulty manuvering around the shallow areas...had to get out and pull the boat a few times...but we kept our sense of humor! Overall a great memory of fun experienced... More

This was the highlight of our trip to Key West. Someone at the hotel recommended this tour to us. First and foremost, they come to your hotel to pick you up. Secondly, the staff is extremely professional and knowledgeable. It was a fun almost three hours and we watched the sunset on the water. We also kayaked through many mangroves,... More

Took my wife and six year Los son on the Boca Chica trip. Due to it being a holiday weekend our group was pretty big (10 or so) so it took a little while to get everyone rounded up and into kayaks. Once we got underway the tour was pretty awesome. Our guide was very knologable and patient. He was... More

Although I've lived in Florida for almost 20 years, I learned so much about the mangrove ecosystem and surrounding waters during our tour - it was incredible! Our guide Andy was courteous and knowledgeable. It was a very enjoyable evening - topped off by the discovery of a baby octopus. Adorable! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone traveling... More

So happy we chose to do this! Andy was a great guide and teacher. We kayaked until well after dark and saw so much amazing marine life, including an almost surreal baby octopus! I have a newly found respect for the mangroves as a result of all Andy taught us. Would definitely do this one again.

My wife and I had such a great time on this Kayak tour, we both wish it never ended! We were picked up at our hotel right on time. Our guide James was incredibly knowledgeable about the local sea fauna and flora that he pointed out at various locations on the open water and in the mangroves that we entered.... More
