More than a kayaking trip; we offer an Eco-Tour Experience! Glide across warm, crystal clear water only inches deep to the shelter of mysterious mangrove islands. Our guides are happy to explain this ecosystem's uniqueness in plants, marine life, birds and natural history.Let us catch marine animals only an expert could find for you to handle and photograph. Learn about egrets, herons and other birds roosting only feet away or prying the flats for food. Geared for any level of paddler, you won’t have to go far to see the hidden beauty that so many have called serene, enchanting, romantic and captivating. We take a maximum of 10 people per guide for a personal experience. « less

This is our second trip with this company. We were very disappointed and embarrassed! Our guide was sarcastic and at times rude. Not necessary. The mangroves were wonderful as always..they sell themselves. We've kayaked in many places....we will NOT return here. It was a very quiet ride in the van, not just us. The lady driving the van is very... More

The Eco-tours were amazing the guides were very nice and had an answer to any question you asked. We watched the sun set and then our guide Katie took us through a bunch of little creeks. Toward the end Katie took us through this amazing area filled with bioluminescent microorganism. If you want to kayak in key west this is... More

This was a very cool thing to do! I would hight recommend this - our guide was very knowledgeable and explained things in the right amount of detail - we saw and touched some pretty neat sea creatures and the time out in the kayaks was very enjoyable and not to strenuous. I think I would ensure that young kids... More

This is my second time with Blue Planet, this time our guide was Sarah. As with my last visit and review, I cannot say enough good things about them. They picked us up at the hotel, so we didn't have to fight Key West traffic. Sarah was fun and very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. We couldn't have... More

Our adult children, their spouses, and the two of us had a wonderful experience kayaking with Blue Planet. Chad, our guide, was so knowledgeable and did everything that he could to make sure we had an excellent experience. We saw birds, sting rays, and other wonders! All of us really enjoyed paddling through the mangrove areas. This was a five-star... More

My husband and I were lucky enough to have a "private" Eco-tour with Katie this week. Everybody else was signed up for the sunset tour but we took an afternoon one and were the only people. A driver picked us up downtown near our rental and drove us out to Stock Island where we met Katie. She gave us a... More

The area that you go to to take this tour was a little sketchy but once you are out on the water you will not notice. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area. He took extra time to find interesting things in the water. we had plenty of time just to paddle too. It was a wonderful morning on... More

My wife and I spent our anniversary week in Key West at the Pier House and did quite a few things over the week - but this was absolutely the best thing we did. This is a no-frills operation. If you're looking for a booze cruise you'll be disappointed. But, if you want to cruise a kayak on pristine water... More

We did the kayak tour on a perfect cloudless night under a full moon in early January. The tour began at sunset with a lap of a mangrove island covered in local birds, these included pelicans and ibis. The tour guide was very helpful in pointing out each species as they flew in to land and explaining their behaviour. Just... More

We are so glad we chose to do the sunset/night kayak eco-tour. Our tour guide James was very knowledgeable and funny. First we kayaked out to a mangrove island with TONS of birds and he told us about many of them. We watched a beautiful sunset then as it became dark we wore head lamps and explored the mangroves. Our... More
