Description: Blue Planet Kayak invites you to escape to the seclusion of our tropical...
Blue Planet Kayak invites you to escape to the seclusion of our tropical “backcountry” locales -- only accessible by kayak. More than a kayaking trip; we offer an Eco-Tour Experience! Glide across warm, crystal clear water only inches deep to the shelter of mysterious mangrove islands. Our guides are happy to explain this ecosystem's uniqueness in plants, marine life, birds and natural history.Let us catch marine animals only an expert could find for you to handle and photograph. Learn about egrets, herons and other birds roosting only feet away or prying the flats for food. Geared for any level of paddler, you won’t have to go far to see the hidden beauty that so many have called serene, enchanting, romantic and captivating. We take a maximum of 10 people per guide for a personal experience.

This was the highlight of our trip to Key West. Someone at the hotel recommended this tour to us. First and foremost, they come to your hotel to pick you up. Secondly, the staff is extremely professional and knowledgeable. It was a fun almost three hours and we watched the sunset on the water. We also kayaked through many mangroves,... More

Took my wife and six year Los son on the Boca Chica trip. Due to it being a holiday weekend our group was pretty big (10 or so) so it took a little while to get everyone rounded up and into kayaks. Once we got underway the tour was pretty awesome. Our guide was very knologable and patient. He was... More

Although I've lived in Florida for almost 20 years, I learned so much about the mangrove ecosystem and surrounding waters during our tour - it was incredible! Our guide Andy was courteous and knowledgeable. It was a very enjoyable evening - topped off by the discovery of a baby octopus. Adorable! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone traveling... More

So happy we chose to do this! Andy was a great guide and teacher. We kayaked until well after dark and saw so much amazing marine life, including an almost surreal baby octopus! I have a newly found respect for the mangroves as a result of all Andy taught us. Would definitely do this one again.

My wife and I had such a great time on this Kayak tour, we both wish it never ended! We were picked up at our hotel right on time. Our guide James was incredibly knowledgeable about the local sea fauna and flora that he pointed out at various locations on the open water and in the mangroves that we entered.... More

Firstly Blue Planet were very accommodating when due to inclement weather we had to reschedule our starlight tour. We went on a perfect Sunday evening and were the only 2 on the starlight tour, 7th June. Our guide was perfect, Very attentive in ensuring we were safely installed and comfortable in our Kayaks. As the water is very shallow in... More

Everyone was experienced at kayaking except me. We saw the most amazin sunset while hangin in the kayaks......afterwards it wasnt that great. This... More

Chad very welcoming and knowlegeable. We rented 2 kayaks and went out on our own. Before we went he gave us a map and detailed description of where to see what. We saw leopard rays, we kayaked through the mangroves, we saw sponges and the hurricane hole. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Also economical for a family of 4.

We have done this tour twice (our first time was a couple of years ago) and I am disappointed to report that our second time out was less than exciting. We were picked up at our rental house in a van and the driver did not say a word to us the entire trip to the dock. That made for... More

This is on our recommended list for Key West - nice experience. We took the guided trip - so to get insight to flora, fauna, and history. We were not disappointed. Our guide Andy was great - fun, knowledgeable, laid back. Great day exploring the mangrove islands, but also getting really great biological - eco perspective. Go do this. Nice... More
