This is hands down the reef my kids always beg to go to. Its not as deep as a lot of the other reefs and it has a great assortment of fish and conchs. On a calm day it is just beautiful. You can rent a boat from Pennekamp and go straight to it.

We had our own boat and were staying on Blackwater Sound so getting through Adams Cut and boating through John Pennekamp was an easy ride to get to Grecian Rocks. The was was beautifully clear, other charter boats were present, waters were shallow enough for our teens to be comfortable and we saw much coral and tropical fish. It was... More

We snorkeled in very rough seas, but the shallow area of this reef was excellent and calm. The rougher side was deeper, but Captain Cody and Dive master Tim kept a close eye on everyone.

Took a tour with Keys Diver out of Key Largo. Outstanding tour, but it is hard to mess up when you visit such a gorgeous place. A living reef! Numerous fish, stingrays and turtles.

Good for snorkelers, but is susceptible to damage by inexperienced snorkelers due to the shallow nature. I’ve done a lot of diving and snorkeling, and this is the only place I came across a Bull Shark.

This patch of reef is very shallow, making it a good spot for snorkeling. The reef is above the water in some parts, so you will need to go around and be careful snorkeling on top of coral patches. We went with a snorkeling group from John Pennekamp park (the long tour). If there are very inexperienced people in your... More

We visited this site with Pennecamp State Park snorkeling tour, the longer version. Absolutely beautiful site! We saw about 5 tarpon floating by! Water was warm. I'd love to go back!

We snorkeled the Grecian Rocks on a charter boat from John Pennekamp State Park. Snorkeling was easy & the views of the reef and marine life were excellent. I highly recommend it

We visited Grecian rocks as part of our snorkel trip with Keys Divers. We saw spotted rays, barracuda, all kinds of colorful fish, and even a 4' shark! As a newbie snorkeler I was pleased to see all this first time out. Water was generally 6-10' deep, and much calmer than over by the "Christ of the Abyss" location.
