For most of us toiling in the brick and mortar world, an eco-trip to the Everglades, we hoped, would provide that opportunity to step out of our mundane comfort zones and remember, re-experience the pristine challenge of nature, walking through a swamp, paddling through mangroves. My nine-year old son kayaked within 15-20 feet of an eight-foot gator to snap a... More

Go there if you want to have some magic in the eyes and a wonderful experience being part of nature ! Don’t miss the fantastic (and sadly endangered) Everglades! Don’t go there if you are in a rush, or not sensitive to nature and environment, or not patient (wildlife does not come in front of you like in a zoo!).... More

We went with Garl before he was famous! We did the everglades tour. It was fantastic! He did the best job and was the nicest guy! The trip was amazing. That was almost six years ago. Well we decided to do the snorkel tour this past Saturday and were lucky enough to to get Garl as our guide. Once again,... More

The drought in the Southern Everglades limited the available wildlife, but Karl worked hard to find it. (Water levels were at least a foot below normal.) We "slogged" to several cypress mounds looking for gators - found one. Others members of the tour had decided to come at last minute so were not properly dressed for walking in the sawgrass... More

The family that run this company are friendly and easy to work with. They were not busy so they allowed us extra time on the water at no extra charge. Very friendly easy to work with/

Garl's is must...... Great experience. Took 9 High School kids on the trip and they were skeptical at first but at the end it is all they could talk about. The guides are very knowledgable and easy to talk too. This is a must and we cannot wait to do it again next year. We have rearranged our schedule so... More

August 2013 and again this July 2015 we went for a full day experience with Garl's Coastal Kayaking. No matter if Don or Garl is your tour expert, you can be sure to get a fantastic day in a fantastic environment with a fantastic guide, who knows about everything there is to know about Everglades and it's wildlife! The warmest... More

It is with heavy heart I give this review. I was extremely looking forward to this trip and had done my research per website and trip advisor, the reason I'm giving it a low score is that the trip was not as described. I understand that every trip is different due to weather/time of year etc but I felt information... More

Spent four hours kayaking Florida Bay, and we really enjoyed it. Having never been kayaking before, we were a little nervous, but it was unfounded; we had a great time. Because of the 2015 invasion of the jellyfish, we really didn't want to chance snorkeling, but did get to visit with a manatee and learned a lot about the wildlife... More

Thank you for the most amazing experience. We were planning on taking an Airboat ride thru the Everglades but am so pleased we decided on this option instead. Garl was an excellent guide and obviously very passionate in what he does.
