We just had the BEST time kayaking and snorkeling in the Florida Bay around Pelican Island off the Gulf of Mexico in Key Largo!!! We also went snorkeling and collected sea shells and sponge. Watch out for the upside-down jelly fish, don't get too close to the mangroves, and try to spot a manatee! Super fun and memorable!!! :-)

Gators up close? A mom Barn Owl swooping by us and then gently perching a few feet away? Two long paddling excursions.... And then gathering kayaks to see the sunset? I haven't tried every company but I really doubt anyone offers anything like Garl. We loved the day! We learned so much, experienced so much, and finished the tour like... More

We saw Garl on Bill Weir's show on CNN and decided to book a tour since we would be in the area. We visited on May 4, originally to do the full day trip, but due to less than optimal weather, we ended up doing the half-day trip. We were lucky enough to have Garl as our guide and this... More

We brought our kids ages 7 & 8 and they LOVED it. Our guide Doug was so knowledgable and nice. We followed in our own car because we weren't sure how long the kids would last. There was a major rain storm as we began (and naturally Mom left the rain gear back at the house!). Our guide checked with... More

Guided by Garl, my husband and I enjoyed his knowledge of all things Everglades. From vegetation, to wildlife, snakes and of course alligators. He was able to answer all our questions with grace (given the fact he surely has the same conversations every day) and impressive knowledge. It is easy to see he is passionate about what he does and... More

Can't say enough about this day trip! Our guide Don was incredibly knowledgable about all aspects of the of the Everglades and introduced my wife and I to a world of flora and fauna that we never could have imagined otherwise. From an eye opening hike through a cypress dome, where we took time to observe everything from the gator... More

If you are in the Key West/KeyLargo area this is a must!! Take the all day tour if you can.. unfortunately the weather was too windy the day we went to be able to do the saltwater kayak trip but the hikes and the kayak trip through the mangroves were great. Garl is very knowledgeable about the everglades and the... More

We booked a last minute trip to the Keys with our 3 kids (13, 10 & 5) and while searching for some activities came across Garl's on TripAdvisor. The reviews were amazing. I called and got us booked while thinking it was a little pricey for the day. It turned out to be an incredible day, the highlight day ("my... More

Great TripAdvisor find for us - 2 middle-aged adults with 2 teenaged girls. Garl took our group (3 small families) on a slog through the Everglades first, where water would be in the rainy season. We were stunned by the beauty of blooming bromeliads hanging from fragrant cypress trees, wild orchids, beautiful song birds, not to mention snakes and Princess,... More
