This is a sailing/snorkel charter out of Key Largo. The owner of Chris Winters. He was willing to take a party of 2 out for an evening sail. We had a wonderful time. Jeff

This trip was exactly what I was looking for. We went out with two other people and motored out to the Molasses Reef. It felt like a great trip with friends - even though we didn't know anybody else. It didn't feel like a big charter process where we had to wait in line and walk around people. There wasn't... More

We booked a sunset sail on a weekday. Captain Rick was on time - we left the dock early, as soon as all 5 passengers had arrived. The Morning Star may not be the newest or prettiest boat around, but it's a smooth and sturdy boat, and everything that needs to work is in good working order. We had a... More

1. Rick does not speak nice, not mean, just straight forward. He sugar costs nothing. Almost had second thoughts after booking with him on the phone. 2. Boat is not the prettiest I ever seen. Spartan is the word that comes to mind. Now the good 1. Rick is a nice man, he speaks his mind. 2. Almost a private... More

We traveled with another couple to The Keys and ended our week long stay with a sunset sail adventure. This was a low key , private trip- perfect in every way! Rick has a beautiful 50 foot sail boat accommodating up to 6 people so you have a very private cruise! He has some wonderful sailing stories and very knowledgeable... More

We booked a trip with Captain Rick to go snorkeling, and he said he'd call us if conditions weren't perfect and we would have no obligation to go out. He did call that morning because it was pretty windy and said that snorkeling would not be good, but said it was a good day for sailing. He did not try... More

Great experience with Captain Rick. Since it was the slow season we had the boat to ourselves, but not a huge deal since he limits it to 6 people. His sailboat was nice size, his snorkel gear was good, and the Molasses Reef he took us to was outstanding. We saw sea turtles, tons of fish, and even had a... More

Been out with Capt Rick a few times now, both for sunset sail and reef snorkel. He'll take you to a quiet unspoilt reef and you will have a great experience. When we took the sunset sail, it was a relatively cloudy day and Capt Rick phoned us up to see if we wanted to cancel at no charge to... More

Captain Rick delivers a pleasant sailing experience and is eager to share what he has learned from 29 years in Key Largo. He knows the Keys and travelers are wise to listen. We did a sunset cruise - he tried to talk us out of it because the weather was changing, but it turned out to be a beautiful evening... More

We booked a sail/snorkel trip with Captain Rick and it far exceeded our expectations! This was our third time snorkeling and it was by far the best experience of the three! Rick is knowledgeable of the area, ocean, culture, and all things Keys. He was very friendly and honest! The conditions were perfect for snorkeling, but not good for sailing.... More

If snorkeling and seeing coral is a priority for you, then choose Morningstar. Because of the size of the boat, Morningstar is able to go to reefs that some of the larger outfits aren't able to reach, including Molasses Reef. Captain Rick picks the best reef based on the weather, current, etc. Unfortunately, we weren't able to reach Molasses, so... More
