Great Snorkeling Adventure!!

Had a wonderful time snorkeling and seeing the statue. We went with Keys Diver and it was very enjoyable.

Beautiful statue of Christ underwater. A truly awesome experience for everyone. A real "National Treasure " for Florida!

This is an interesting view in 25 feet of water with a surrounding reef. Snorkelers can enjoy it as well.

This was even better than I had hoped. We liked it so much we went back the next day; both times on boats from the John Pennekamp State Park. The boat crews were friendly and professional. Be advised: the marine heads (bathrooms) on the boats were very, very, spartan.

Went out with Amoray's Dive Resort and had a great dive. Did hit some Jelly Fish but got to touch the statue!

The last time we were down it was very crowded as a lot of boats were in the area at same times. Seeing this statue with his hands turned up as to say behold this all. Breath taking.

The story alone is good reason to make sure to snorkel this icon. Being able to have my 10 year old dive down, with her vest inflated, to touch the statue's hand was more than enough to make this one of the most memorable parts of our trip. The sea life elsewhere during this stop was unremarkable (much better for... More

A good spot amid the great snorkeling there, but do not just stop there. Nearby spots have more fish and coral, but bring your underwater camera for shots here.

I've been to Christ of the Abyss several times. Love just floating over it, taking in the quiet and the reminder of the peace Jesus has brought into my life. If you don't believe in Jesus, that's okay too. They don't check you out or ask at the dock. In any case, the marine life around the statue is plentiful... More
