Very cool site of this statue in about 27 feet of water in John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Parl. A must see!

Come dive with a 15 foot tall Christ. The name Christ of the deep is poorly chosen since the water is only about 25 feet deep at the base of the statute. It is a fun little "say you did it" dive and be sure and enjoy the rest of the underwater park.

A very moving experience for my 10 year old daughter on her first open water scuba dive! Nice location, but very crowded.

This is a pretty good reef with lots of varieties of fish. Usually see nurse sharks when I am there. But beware because ALL of the commercial snorkeling shops and John Pennekamp take their boats there full of snorkelers. Stay away from the statue....go on the front side of the reef and there won't be any people but there will... More

Great for snorkeling. On a calm day just about anyone can do it. Have seen a large variety of fish here. It can get crowded.

This depiction of Christ is quite moving and I loved seeing it. Our young boat captain was making inapropriate jokes that I didn't appreciate. I think he said something about the arm raised figure was signaling TOUCHDOWN.

I booked a 4 hour your with a local snorkeling company that specifically said that this would be a sight we would visit. It was a tourist trap lie! I asked the cashier before paying if we would be seeing the statue and was interrupted by one of the boat crew saying that he would "try" to get us there.... More

Great experience nice dive. The statue is lying between two reefs which is nice because you don't see it right away. When you go around the corner it is there and beautiful. Great underwater photo opp.

You don't have to do a dive to see the whole statue, snorkeling will also provide a full view and it's a feeling like no other. You'll feel a calmness come over you with a full heart and you can't help but say a prayer. It's a good size and surrounded by the beauty of the underwater sea life. Just... More
